I’m in anytime. Sugarloaf is a good East Coast hill for longboards.

Repurposed Bell Moto 2 motorcycle helmet, too poor for bent DH poles, bamboo and snow fence with haybales for “protection”, and running deep in the field with bib 40-something. Scared shitless but trying to summon the courage of the crazy Canucks in the banana suit and not look like a pussy for scrubbing speed whenever possible. Coach said “Pay attention and don’t fuck around. Good luck.” Quite the pep talk. Felt like the fucking Hahnenkamm at the time. Crystal clear adrenaline straight to the cortex. If any of you northern mags come across a true longboard, please buy it.

Over 207 is a unicorn. But I would love a pair
Even a 207 would be fun. I need one in the quiver. EC has so many hard pack days. No fun in the bumps, but fun on the groom zoom or in the spring slush.

Lionel at Happy Tunes in Carrabassett has several DH boards. Most under $150 with bindings. I know for certain he has 218cm Salomons and 218cm Fischer’s that I have been eyeing.

East Coast Roll Call #??? 20-21 Covid closures and hard core touring! Be Fit or Sit

While you all were enjoying winters return, i got lucky Saturday with a break from the spring rain. Took a walk up tremblan. Sun even peaked out a bit.

Relatively low snow coverage for this time of year, but still decent and worth a hike. Got a few fun laps in. Spring snow was real nice.

not quite as long but i still have the 200 snow rangers you sold me a decade+ ago. skiied upper liftline on closing day at stowe on them. so light they *were* fun in the bumps. been meaning to bring em back out for years - and given the longboard talk, it's time. just have to deal with the extra 10cm of ski on my armrest for the drive.

Geez, they sound cool. If CS doesn’t want them, I might be interested. Irregardless, I’d love to see a pic and their story. And I’m in for EC longboard day when it goes down. My longest skis are only 195s though

    Heh. History.

I’m not sure that snow ranger was ever longer than 200.
RC4 207cm was what I had prior. Or k2 tnc comp. Or atomic bionic arc. All long and narrow and stiff.

I've got these 207 Assaults in the basement. Been looking for an excuse to dust them off. Think anyone would torque test the bindings for me?

Dude, I rode a pair of my old boards two years ago. I loved them 25 years ago, but they suck today. Like really suck. They look better on the wall than on your feet.

Nice! Most of my old boards blew up because I was Rossi geek. The Atomics blew up but stayed together. Skis sure were weak back then.

Pile headed to the dumpster after the pickers pick thru for chair builds. Have a few others that I'm still saving for some reason.

Saturday looks like a great day for Killington. Before I buy a ticket off their website, does anyone have a line on a discount? (never hurts to ask, right?)
