Not quite silly season yet at Sunday River, but it's getting closer every day. The thin spot above the last headwall is now a break in the cover, and there are a couple of spots up top that require either a lot of commitment, a lack of concern about what you may hit, or a bit of sidestepping.

Pretty darn good skiing between Goat Path and that gap, though.

^^ nice to see the happy outcome above. many props to SJ for putting the extreme in generosity

meanwhile at K the glacier hangs in strongly - in spite of what was looking like the begining of the end nearly 2 weeks ago.

^^ we likely crossed paths on the access - where i got my first view of the hill at 12:59.
been covering the late shift. wouldn't mind an early start one of these days.
some morning laps on the groomed would be good for the legs at this point!

It will likely be good although only 1 way down. This weekend will probably be the last one without some walking/shredding ski bases required

Thanks. I was planning on biking with a friend but maybe we will ski. I have an ikon but does anyone have a spare day for my friend? Otherwise I can use the 25% off thing

Thinking the same thing. Picking up my kid-that-likes-bumps from college tomorrow. Would like to get at least one day of Superstar in this year.

Bargain at $89 (in advance). What is the walk-up price?

On May 4, they posted that they'd be open this weekend and next on Facebook. I haven't seen anything contradictory since then.

So Skylark bit the dust? There was a lot of snow on there the weekend before last but they had moved a bit of snow onto the sketchy spots. I was hoping that would be open for another weekend for a little change of pace.

VT Free, is this you? Just north of Concord on 89 @ about 70 mph. I don't know shit about motorcycles, but it seemed like a questionable driving position.
