What's the crust report from the higher elevation Greens?

Got a tour planned for Monday at Bolton and my yard's got a serious crust layer.

Monday's a long way off. It could be raining by then. Or sunny. Or snowing. In the meantime put some inserts in your slalom skis for touring bindings so you have all the bases covered.

Southern Greens may recover first...the Thursday night/Friday event looks like 6-8" right now but NWS noting that, like previous storms, this one could push further northward delivering even more.

5º and 1-2 mph breeze bob w/9/16" of fresh overnight.
Sweet 3/4" hard crust encapsulating the powder for your off piste pleasures.

lifts not doing so well today. Bravo was stopped 20 minutes ago and the line cleared, now back to loading carvers of the groomed.

Aldos picture had me thinking he could stand in for Rozon of the Quebec Air Force as he had that Canuck look dialed.

7:30s light sleet yesterday turned to mist at the bell with freezing temps top-o-bravo rendering goggles fairly useless, snow was nice and drifted to the rock for a lap

The way this season is going here in the NEK, it will probably rain here and Massachusetts will get a foot of snow.

^ with all apologies to the north, i do hope we get some love in the cats/taconics. we've got a nasty breakable crust in town this am.

and i do hope the weather picture pivots favorably for all here.

^^ vtfree: nice score! the holiday crowds are good for *something* ... leaving the challenging freshies for the locals.

Telemark festival weekend (although no races, clinics, etc due to Covid), makes me wonder about a drive down south...

If it hadn't been so windy, I was thinking of skinning to summit, from the Bonnie, to ski Vermonter. But it would probably have been scoured by the South wind.
I had a couple buddies who skinned up before work yesterday, said with the wind and freezing R up top it was some of the most difficult change-over conditions they'd dealt with in a long time, thank goodness for the secret always-open door to the Tram House. Also saw that they reported 6-8" and knew that didn't pass the smell test, classic Jay over-reporting their snowfall totals again... but hey, I'll take a medium amount of snow with a bullish measurement over no snow any day of the week

Noght skiing right now is pretty fun...not sure if you have the bc/night pass, but it was well worth the extra $75 this year.

Confirmed this today, lots of searching high and low with Doremite, some soft turns were found in places but unfortunately more were crusty. Lesson I relearned for the 100th time today, when it snows this late in the season go if you can, don't wait until the next day.

Jay over-reporting, no way...bet they had a nice slash pic to help the sell job.

Damn snow is so iced over I had to go stomp out an area so the dog could poop. For a minute it was comical to watch him try to walk with all 4 legs splayed, then sad
