Free refill last night at Saddleback with the wind. Today was good. Lunch of Gatorade, GU gel, and cashews on the chair good. Really nice wind buff and chalk surface.

East Coast Roll Call #??? 20-21 Covid closures and hard core touring! Be Fit or Sit

Worst Gu flavor ever, skiing looks nice though. Is anyone skiing there? Are they gonna make it? Hills in Vermont are packed again this week.

Agreed. If Saddleback is skiing 1/2 as nice as it looks, I wanna be there.

Short term: 1 to 5 years Saddleback will certainly make it as Arcteris is invested too much to back out before then. Midterm 5 to 10 years: I don’t know as there are not a lot of amenities at the hill and it’s a long ways from anywhere to support next generation investment with it’s checkered recent history. Long-term 10+ years: things look good for Saddleback given the global warming predicament with the location far north and the base elevation at 2000 feet. There’s also lots of land on the access road to develop into real estate if Saddleback has a recent proven track record.

But what do I know? Most days I try to be happy and just be here now.

    i'm definitely intrigued.
but i was put off by the best snow being under the lifts and undisturbed. reminded me of a star trek next gen episode where people lived in extreme theme parkish harmony - until someone walked on the grass and was sentenced to death.

had i arrived early as planned i would have been in more of an adventure mode.. with just over 3 hours to play i stayed on the trails.
definitely eyeing a return next month.

Snow is still very good in central Vermont. Took the Laser AX’s out for pure carving pleasure. Stockli makes killer skis

Exploring sometimes comes at a small cost. I know what my evening looks like... time to fire up a show and the base welder.

my $.02gorilla epoxy. repair it once and you may never need to think about it again. the stuff is bulletproof and the bond is strong. i've got much larger GE repairs with over 100 days and counting (and i never baby them)

That's like a flesh wound. If it was like a powder cycle is personally ski something like that and not even think about it.

Yep, Tools not Jewels now, as long as they're sharp. I spent too much time obsessing over perfect bases as a coach.

I really stooped low this past weekend and I may or may not of threatened some one in the middle of the lift line to “knock his ass back to whatever ghetto shit hole his non quarantined ass was from”. Oooops. All because I nicely asked his 6 year old to get off my skis. Then he proceeded to call me a peasant and run his mouth and tell me he’d buy me “two new pairs of my piece of shit skis”. I have people. Fuck.
