Yes, but it was more about the shitty landing zone. The landings got chopped, but there were some big death cookies and ice chunks in there.

Hopefully. I’m not totally positive yet, but I think we might begrudgingly do epic again...

Picked one of the coldest days of the year to pop my Cannon cherry yesterday. Didn't arrive until 12:30 in hopes the temps would rise and the winds would drop...oh well. Fast and loud but edgeable and fun groomer zooming with my 81-year-old dad. Did 5 laps on the upper chair until we couldn't stand the wind any more. Zoomer lift was protected and comfy so we lapped the Peabody slopes over and over. Nobody there so it was easy to rip the narrow twisty trails at speed.

Will probably ski at Waterville today (my dad lives here full time) and then Cannon again on Wednesday. Yay Indy Pass!

Sorry for not throwing out a link-up message to NH mags but I haven't seen my dad in a year and don't want to to ditch him.

Is that EQS B level duals?

That looks fun, when my kid was in B's they never did duals.

Btw, when he gets to A's they don't stop.

The kids are B’s, but the event was just an in-house fun event for kids to get experience. My boys aren’t on the team, but we’ve been skiing with them a few times as a trial.

That's cool they did that. Where is that?
I feel bad for the kids this year. The B stuff was really fun and the kids are missing out on that whole experience of traveling to different mountains.

That's sick! 81 and still skiing! Goals!

Zoomer is always the nice low protected chair with fun short terrain on the gnarly days.

Indeed...time well spent. He skis very fast for his age.

Waterville today was surprisingly good. They tilled the permafrost so that on all but the steepest pitches, there was carveable, edgeable snow. Before today, I had only skied WV on weekends. Like most places, weekdays are the best.

Wife reported that our 14-year-old Lab may have had a stroke so I'm heading back to VT a little earlier than planned.

Learned to ski there when I was 3...my dad (from north jers) was on ski patrol for a short time back in his teens. Passed by once in the summer a few years back on our way home from looking at a truck out that way...I didn't remember it from when I was 3 but it was at least cool to be there with my dad 30 years later it was like a time capsule...old lodge, old snow cat in the woods etc. Took some pics, somewhere deep in a folder somewhere in my computer
