S&R should be on standby for the likely t-shirt and shorts hikers getting hypothermia today.

Got back from a wedding in Miami yesterday evening, was odd walking out of the BTV terminal and it was colder outside for the first time in 4 days.

Anybody out there in TGR land interested in working at the biggest, baddest and burliest hill in North America???

There is a full time salaried job opening for the Assistant Manager position at the Mighty Middlebury College Snow Bowl.

Not savvy enough to be able to post the PDF job description but if you are curious I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to eMail the info.

If you take the job you might be lucky enough to share a soup with the Bottlewoman and I!

Derp. Thank you. Was not showing up this morning for some reason (perhaps that reason being that I am an idiot?).

New high speed quad for spring slackfest on Mt Washington?

Ramen is soup, right? Homemade ramen and ginger kombucha on the boat tonight. Foggy and a nip to the air.

Plenty of rain from Fred with 2 1/2" measured bob. Looking rough for southern New England this weekend with Henri arriving to cause trouble. Wishing the best for all in the path. Stock up on soup and stay on the high ground.

    Picture of Henri for reference

Allspeed cycle and ski in Portland has a good sale going on. Dropped skis off to see how touring boots din test. Did a quick search of sale but worth a call. I think they ship but happy to assist if needed.

    SKIS
volkl blaze $275 both 100 and 94 in a couple sizes
    Blizzard rustler 9&10 $300 I think only in 188
    Volkl kendo 50% off.
    Bunch of liberty skis 50%
A few other volkl skis at 50% off including woman’s skis but no Mantras

    BOOTS 50% off
No 0g in my size and very limited with that model but lots of others top line boots
    Tecnica
    Atomic
    Dalbello

    Gloves 60% off
Only saw medium and small. 4 or so black Diamond styles including guide that looked nice. Dug through the box hoping for a large but no luck. Leather flylow

Would all you shop rats, bartenders and otherwise keep an eye out for the girl in this article?

She's an old college friend that has gone AWOL, I know the article says she's been found but she hasn't. Her sister has been updating me on general whereabouts as they're piecing together her movements from a credit card bill they have eyes on.

She's been all over New England in the past month, Portsmouth, Portland, Berkshires, Burlington, Saratoga and Lake Placid. Seems to be on the move quite a bit, stays a day or two in a hotel and skips on down the road. Likes to shop at gear stores, spends about $400 each time.

Her sister asked if I knew someplace to post this up that wouldn't be seen by Lisa, I was like I've got just the spot.

Shoot me a message if you get any hits.

    Thanks!
