."..Hermitage Club, open only on weekends and holidays, used its $175,000 Ski Area Recreation Safety grant award to purchase hazmat suits for ski patrollers."
Hazmat suits?
Also odd they needed all that cash and only operated a fraction of the days every other ski hill on the state.

I'm guessing there's a correlation to size and cost of accounting and legal teams.
I'd also expect that Cochran's revenue is sufficiently lower in a normal year, by design, that it hurt their ability to claim grants tied to loss of revenue.

A mea culpa from the Belt du Banana - "discussion" should have been in quotes.

You mean like “I NEED my Range Rover brought around to the front of the house. We’re going to the (Hermitage) club.”

Be careful what you say about our Politburo, Komrade. They know what is best for us.

that looks fantastic. on my two days at gore the steeps were fun but flat (and on one run i was a moment from strategizing self arrest!)
have you or anyone else been to gore lately? i see rumor and lies are ungroomed on today's report. guessing they're done grooming up
tops wondering how the cover's holding?
thanksLast edited by buckethead; 04-07-2021 at 01:42 PM.

^^ that's a bummer. you saved me pulling the trigger on a ticket though so thanks!
i had a feeling the mountain wouldn't work right with all of those limited interconnects between lifts (part of the place's intrigue for me). likely kmart spring pass it is from here out...glad i got to gore, magic and MRG when i did!Last edited by buckethead; 04-07-2021 at 02:51 PM.

Saddleback groomers will still go another week or two. Other trails... not so much.

Vermont ski grants maybe employee based? I did learn today that the hermitage is still going. Last I knew it was going to be sold off. This country gets a bigger and bigger gulf of wealth every year. Frick stock market has gone up and up despite Covid ravages
Loaf was fun. They had gage roped off for racer kids, found another private trail with good pitch. Man I loved my brahma’s in the loose
Going up to tucks tomorrow. Maybe left gully chute and hillmans. B&W skis boots poles say hello
