yesterday was pretty incredible. couple cm of new snow so i was planning on a groomer/park day. i guess they severely underreported or wind filled things in, cause it was pretty deep in places! riding on to peak chair for a solid 2 hrs before the clouds broke for an hour and the crowds descended. wait times then went up to 5 min before it got socked in again and crowds disappeared. got to creekside at 10am and i think i got 15 peak chair laps. some really impressive sends off air jordan and the billy goat line lookers left of it whatever that's called. been a decade since i last hit the waterfall and the show almost made me want to do it again, before i remembered how old i am and how pissed off my wife would be if i tweaked myself which would be the likely outcome

I noticed that the hours of operation was 3pm until the end of the season. The runs are empty and no lineups if all the lifts are running. It feels like the end of the season already. Today might be different with 9cm.

Saw on instagram no line-ups in village at 8:20am, seems weird but good. March likely less busy with city traffic as weather warms up and people do other stuff.

one of the better 10cm mornings I've had today, don't think the alpine lifts turned on whistler as it was windy af. Not really busy at all, maybe 5min at Red. Pretty bummed about the keeping 3pm closing, have been trying to hit afternoons on the weekends once kid goes down for nap, had hoped to start eeking out the later alpine closures, hard to get more than a couple by the time I get up...thanks, Vail.

    Whistler popped.
Harmony ran for 45 min initially before the wind shut it back down. I got in a couple then hit the T-Bar for a stroll up to the peak.
Got a glory lap from the top before they opened Peak at 1( and Harmony again) Really deep in the Cirque. Stephens/West Bowl laps. Crossed my own track at 230 bottom of West Bowl w no one around.
    Killer day.

It’s nice to stand alone top of Shale Slope and look down at the chair w peeps waiting-usually get it once a season.

I would have thought that with the intelligentsia here, we'd have seen some advance photos and a few closeups without having to squint at the hive.

. On Wednesday I walked onto Creekside at 8:15, wife went out at 10:30 and it was over the bridge. Admittedly this was after no snow over night, but it was a bluebird morning so maybe people are starting to burnout on the lined up by 7:00 thing, at least if it isn’t a big powder day.

Its an annual attention grabber for her but its all good. And if she would stick to telling jokes and showing her tits I could be a fan but like most of them she got the idea somewhere that her opinions are important. I just hope Kathy Griffin doesn't see this as a way to get some attention for herself. Scary

I would try that myself but I'm afraid of hurting my penis by dragging it along the snow.

Yesterday right after the peak opened somebody else blew up at the bottom of the moraine by Peak.

    Again today.

Before the chair popped today some snow had been moved by a groomer to make a better transition Patrol even took pics prior to opening-expecting another?

After my first lap this person demoed themselves, 7-9 Patrol on scene(6 yesterday).

Afterwards they put up 4 more bamboo extending the rope line 5-7m. Can’t help but think if they did this yesterday this guy wouldn’t be in such rough shape.

I can’t count how many times I’ve seen carnage in that same spot

Hopefully no one suffers the same fate

not sure I'm following what happened...did someone just come in way to hot and compress/explode in the transition?

Good day out on blackcomb slack today. South faces skiing great. Snow moved back in after lunch for a nice mini reset for Husume exit.
