Fast forward to last week and it's started working again.
That's nice. If it started working randomly/intermittently it's probably a relay, not the motor. Had the same thing happen in my Tahoe.

Yup. On my old Tacoma the check engine light would come on randomly. Sometimes it would stay on for days or weeks, then go off for a while. It was a cat code. My truck had to get smogged every two years. They don't actually test emissions for vehicles newer than a certain age, they just hook up the computer and check for error codes. I was banking on going in for the smog test when the light was off and error code cleared. Of course as my registration renewal approached the light came on and this time wouldn't go off. If it wouldn't go off there is nothing to do but shell out $$$ to have the cat replaced if I wanted to keep driving it. Can't renew the reg if the vehicle doesn't pass. Mercifully the light went off and stayed off long enough to pass. Got my 2-year window and sold the truck before it came up again.

Cats aren’t usually the culprit if your mechanic isn’t a hack.

I’m sure I’ve done that. My first year I skied in knickers and knee socks. The boots were leather with laces that you tightened up with a hook, like you’d do with ice skates. The skis were solid wood, although maybe laminated. I managed to break the skis in half by running into a hole on the bunny hill on my first day.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

None of that makes any sense.

Not sure. Yeah, I’m old. I’ve just become aware of that. I don’t think I’m the oldest one here, though.

I never skied in knickers and knee socks. I did climb in them. See avatar. I started out in jeans. Doesn't everybody?

I’m not sure you’re aware of the average demographic here OG, only one person started, and still does, ski in jeans.

    That’s Iceman.

Everyone else is above average and was given standard issue Gore-Tex bibs on day 1, did you not get yours?

they would’ve needed a time machine to get that gore-tex to me… at least my wooden skis had screwed on metal edges.

    Guilty.

    Trippy hippy knee dropper

It’s actually comfortable and nice once you get over the stigma.

PS. My first downhill was in jeans.

I have to say that skiing a 200 ft manmade hill in jeans, leather lace up boots, wooden skis, cable bindings--with my friends in HS , (especially with Sharon Schmidt), meeting girls from other HS's at the hill, skiing after dinner instead of doing homework, was at least as much fun as a big powder day is for me now. Wish I hadn't lost track of those friends. Especially Sharon Schmidt.

Skiing a 200 foot hill day in and day out in HS with your friends is definitely something that made you say fuck yeah.
