I would miss the memes that get posted up, and TRs.
Setting up a forum is pretty easy. (I set one up a couple of years ago, but wasn't motivated to try to get any members). The only users that ever signed up were Russian email addresses, and bots. I finally got tired of deleting 5-10 of those every week and shut it down.

Should all the denizens of the ECRC thread converge on the new store at the same time, it's possible it could devolve into a microcosm of that thread. I would suggest on a holiday weekend when the likelihood is high they serve soup there.

Soup seems to calm them down.

FWIW, I don't think the FB group was ever intended as an alternative, just a spot to go for scuttlebutt if the forum goes down and possibly a bridge to a new site if one is needed.

This sounds like a good contingency plan. If it ever comes to this I may start over as NJPM.

There would be the matter of what becomes of Viva's porn stash on the TGR servers. I suppose the drives could be pulled and reloaded into the new server.

We really only have bluegill and bass and many of those have multiple eyes and appendages, on the salt side there's striped bass and that's loaded with PCB's from the Hudson. Perhaps a flounder?

I’d hate to knock a mag out of their safe space.

I’m thinking we might have to mob an established forum and demand our own subforums ad nauseum. That way when it goes to shit we can blame it on the new Andrew running the show.
