That’s about as good as it gets. Martin was with Goguen, Ho and a few other local young chargers on Mont Gelé this morning. I guess they’ll be going for a look later…

Natural Selection is on lesser terrain in better snow.

    Freeride World Tour

Conditions looked pretty bony on the face check yesterday. Hopefully they get a top up today. At 2120m Wildseeloder is quite low which is a particular problem this season. Bec des Rosses is over 3200m which is a different world

All the classic lines look good. Could see some new lines this year with so many rocks covered

Almost more excited for the Challenger series. New venues with elite competition going balls to the wall.

However, being as this is a two-run event, I'll refrain from my wall-of-text, classic-Gaijin, minute-by-minute thoughts.

We're watching this in my living room with birthday cake for my little homie. And we're cooking meatballs... because birthdays and FWT. It's party night here!

One rad thing about being here in JP is that all the Euro events are during my dinner time. So fun.

Good question. Doubt it. I bet they'd rather just take one set of runs for scores than keep people in hotels... for "sustainability" reasons.

    Bullshit... Turdell wins so far.

But I guess there is one more run.

    Crazy.

This comp is so fun to watch. We're only half way through.

I know.. I wasn't supposed to talk much...

But Max Hitzig is an absolute animal.

Can you imagine a 90+ score securing you a 4th place?

Yeah he's the one that seems like he can clean up the second run the most. But, his entire lower section could be in the shade for the second run.

Manon is my bet for the long-game. Within the next 1-4 years she's gonna be owning this field.

Goddamnit, Tenla. But still stoked he's in 5th so far after a NS. Also, glad the announcers are pronouncing his name correctly.

Again, Hitzig is an absolute animal.

And Ben Richards is a prime example of Kiwi ski culture influencing style... Same with Finn. Bro. Kiwis kill it in shitty snow.

The Maxime (of old?) is back.

These guys are so good it's like a whole new sport. I know I keep saying that.
