Tom Pfeifer? Why u land right in the pyramid landing if you don’t go for the full one? Ruin it for the others?

I’d be interested to see what Tester’s score would have been without the back slaps.

Ho making himself a name as the crash guy. I don't like people who always actually go to 100%.

Weird, I dont think he was skiing anywhere near 100%. And he simply clipped a rock and lost a ski, that wasnt a result of skiing too hard.

He was not on full control before that I thought.

Goguen stomped those trees into the ground.

I need to go watch the replay, but the bits I saw were overall pretty great, and it was cool to see Tester having a little fun at the end there.
I feel like a nerd for bringing up the commentary, and IMO pretty much everybody they have on there is knowledgeable and fun to listen to on their own, but they need to decide who is doing play by play and who is doing color. Stressful to hear them keep trying to talk over each other, but with this set-up it is hard to blame them.

Fun comp, per usual. Thought the scoring was pretty solid this round too.

Was cool to see Parkin lay down a decent run. Always fun to root for the local kid.

I just watched Vale Rainers Vlog before watching the replay of Kicking Horse. He actually mentions pre comp in Val Thorens that it dumped so much him and his coach (Stefan H&auml;usl) decided he should get out the 120s. Interessting, and in line with your observation, is that he had never ridden the fatter 120s in a comp yet. I don&#39;t know about the other skiers, but he did actually use them in the run. Of course, if 120 counts as a super fat or not is a different discussion.</p>

Watched the replay, some awesome skiing and lines. Love seeing Marcus lay one down like that... bad luck for Weitien... good to see Tom put a run down after his crashes. Ben Richards super smooth and a crazy save by Tenra.

Weitien looked off today before crashing… a couple of shifties and a crash? He was nowhere near as ambitious or creative as he has been in other comps.

Abel Moga sticking a line is sensational, hope he stays dialed in and stops crashing.

I thought Ben Richards’ giant front flip was going to beat Moga initially, but I think the judging was fair.

Not sure what’s going on with Chabloz, he was amazing when he won, but just can’t seem to stick a line anymore.

I think Turdell and Regner are just competing against each other for fun.

Announcers said Goguen did a cork 7, I thought it was “just” a 720 though.

I actually thought Amy was excellent. Easy voice to listen to and not so super repetitive with the bro slang. The level these guys are at is insane. They all know they need to go big and throw crazy tricks to win. Unfortunately that leads to a bunch of crashes.

Since there is no snow in austra and no new snow before the 20th. I highly doubt there will be a contest in fieberbrunn.

I love the announcing. Feels authentic. I don’t feel like I’m being sold anything.

That front flip was solid stuff. Unfortunately it wasn’t fall-line.

As I’ve always believed— it’s hard to judge from here without knowing how the judges scaled the face. So I won’t interject from my computer screen.

All that to say— boo-yahhh. No injuries. Solid lines. Some crashes. As is the game.

The younger kids will learn to reel it in. Lincoln loops for days. Aurelian Ducroz would be proud.

Once the kids learn their limit, and learn the venues, how to face check, read lines, etc— everyone is fucked.

The kids are alright. They have skill. Just need some time in this light to come into their skin.

Translation— don’t rush it, kids. Play the long game.

Ha fair enough. Again, I do think the announcers are good and they have a lot of kickass insight. I just kind of wish they’d have more defined roles so they don’t talk over each other.

Probably just my own little conversational pet peeve. Fin, back to ski shit.

This kinda goes for the FWT as a whole. Compared to other high level sporting events, it feels more like a pure competition for the sake of showcasing the top talent, as opposed to a competition for the sake of selling advertising and generating revenue. It's the exact opposite of the superbowl.

Did two laps on Ozone today. Some areas soft some areas pretty stiff wind affected.

Preach. The FWT has a special something to it that even things like World Cup DH and the WSL don't have.

Reminds me of the world surf league. They’ll take a 3 minute break in the middle of a comp and just show the ocean and sound of waves.
Unless what they’re advertising IS the ocean.
