SUP solo down the Meykong and Nam Ou river Laos

Cross posted in the SUP/Kayak thread.
PIcs coming as soon as I figure out how to post all of them.
Last Jan/Feb I took a journey to the other side of the world in Laos. Paddled my SUP down the Nam Ou river/and the Meykong from a small weaving village called Ban Sopchem to Luang Prabang.
Solo paddle with no support. Rode a Honda Dream scooter from Hanoi to Northern Laos to start my trip. Here are a few bits prior to starting this amazing journey. Hope you enjoy !

Damn, that is one sweet adventure, hurry up and post those pics!

Reminded me a lot of one of the very first episodes of the Dirtbag Diaries podcast. Except in that one they built a raft out of bamboo and went for it. Worth a listen. See here: https://dirtbagdiaries.com/brief-mom...autiful-place/

Sounds like a helluva trip. Is the winter preferable for SUP travel in that part of the world for some reason?
