Converting 2020 Lange XT free 130 and FKS 18 to gripwalk from WTR

Is this possible? Anyone know where I can buy the conversion parts?

They make GripWalk sole blocks for last year's XT Free 130 that will simply screw on (make sure you get the ones for tech fittings); at the moment I don't see any in stock in the US. They only had WTR soles the first 2 years; last year they shipped with ISO 5355 (Richard Permin Pro 140 had both soles).

You mean you have an older FKS with aftermarket WTR baseplate? Why do you feel the need to switch to GripWalk?

The part number for a pair of replacement P18 GW AFD's is FCIF010 and any Look/Dynastar/Rossi dealer can order them for you.

    Bindings:
If you have P18s with aftermarket WTR AFD's but the part Spyder listed.
If you have P18's with regular AFDs, do nothing, they will work fine.

The regular AFD’s work with WTR and gripwalk? Or just gripwalk?

Regular P18 AFDs work with Gripwalk boot soles. Regular P18 AFDs will not work with WTR soles.

According to Look, it isn't quite that simple. "Regular" 2021 Pivot 18 GW AFD's work with ISO 5355 and GripWalk, Pivot 18 AW works with ISO 5355 and GripWalk, "plain" P18 (likely your FKS falls into this category, as there have been no FKS-branded Pivots for about 3 years) are not compatible with GripWalk. See the chart from the Look Tech Manual 2019-2020 below.

True. EITHER you have a 2020 Lange XT Free OR you have WTR soles, not both.

wait, do I get it right - you can't swap AFD plate from old pivot18 to gripwalk and use it? It's still incompatible? By old I mean pre-WTR pivots

Unsure, and I don't have a GW AFD to check. The "old" pivot AFD had tabs that fit into a matching slot in the toepiece base, the newer ones didn't have them.

Anyone around that can check? Spyderjon?

2006 and older toe pieces won’t fit a 2011? or newer afd plate.

Pre 2006 will not (easily) take any of the new AFDs, you will need a 2011 to current toe to fit the any of the following AFDs:
    Replacement ISO 5355 AFD part # FC9F006
The updated WTR AFD part # FCEF002
    The new AW/GW AFD part# FCIF010

So I have the 2020 XT free 130 with the non-WTR sole and tech inserts. Anyone know where I can source the GW compatible soles?

As I said earlier in this thread, I don't see any for sale in the US at the moment, best bet would be to contact a Lange dealer or the warranty dept. at a shop and try to order them. "KIT GRIP WALK SOLES + PIN IN Reference: LVHLZE0" is what you are looking for.
