FS: Generic 28H Carbon Enduro Wheelset with DT350 hubs-Boost XD

    27.5”

    [s]Price $600 plus actual ship CONUS [/s]

BUMP for Christmas shopping $550, split shipping and I’ll tape and add Stans stems.

I’ve got $650 just in the components, just trying to clean house a little.

Built these up then decided to go narrower with 32H. These are pretty bomber though.

Carbon Chinese rims from a large reputable eBay dealer-T700 carbon layup, 34mm wide internal, 40 wide external- rims are brand new never ridden, no tape or stems

    DT350 boost hubs 12/15 thru-axle
    XD driver
    6-bolt brakes

    Front hub is brand new
Rear hub was previously laced up and ridden lightly, bearings feel like new, hub is in great shape

Sapim Race 2/1.8 double butted spokes with DT Brass nipples

Hand built by me then tensioned and de stressed by a local shop.

Total wheelset weight as shown =1825g

Based on build at that weight I kinda assume 29, but they look smallish in the pics.

You’re correct they’re not the lightest carbon build, but I made weight a consideration while building these for durability primarily.

Rims by themselves are 485g, the layup doesn’t include T800 carbon which some more expensive rims have to lower the weight. They’re very sturdy and feel darn stiff though. Also the brass nipples add weight for the sake of long term durability and tunability.

The whole setup is still a good weight considering they’re an internal 34mm. Aluminum won’t come anywhere near this unless they’re pretty flimsy (like my Duroc 40 set that dents if you look at it sideways and still weighs ~515g each)

Nice. I should say, not heavy by any stretch. Should be a bomber build, and at a great price.

that a good width for 2.6 inch tire for actual sidewal support at that size.

I have run a Barzo, Nobby Nic, and DHF all in 2.6 on a 35mm internal rim and it provides great support. I can run super low pressures especially in the front and not get squirm.

My original plan for this wheelset was going 2.6 DHF front and a Barzo or Mezcal 2.35 rear.

Last bump for the fall/winter. I'll split CONUS shipping, plus tape them up tubeless and install tubeless Stans stems.

Bump reduced to $550, split shipping CONUS and I’ll tape and add stems. Buying a house and want a little more liquidity.

It's just not that sweet a deal for an undisclosed brand carbon hoop with no warranty. Nextie, LB, etc with a pass through warranty offer and you might turn heads.
