    WTB Touring Bindings

Shifting my clamp situation around, and now I have a need for one of the following:

    Fritsch Vipec Evo
    G3 Ion or Zed
Atomic Backland or Salomon MTN (might already have a line on these...)
    Marker Alpinist
    ATK Raider (i know...)

And because it's 2020 and I've become a total optimist, hoping for something in the $250-350 range?

    Who's holding???

Oh because ATKs are hard to come by, and most people don't want to part with them when they do.
No harm in asking I guess?

    brakes?
a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I'm in the same boat as OP with pretty much the same requirements. Could go brakeless.

Brakes...can be useful, but not necessarily a deal-breaker without.

This is my understanding...but no one has ever given me a shiny gold star for my understanding skills.

This is discussed a bit in the ATK thread, but seems like the 350 is a Franken-binding with a c-raider 12 heel and a different toe, just to make things maximally confusing.

I have two sets for sale:
New Black Diamond Helio 180/145 (red 180 w/o mounting plate = green 145, leashes included): $295
    New Hagan/ATK/BD PURE 10 (120mm brakes - can be swapped): $365

Actually poking around that thread lately, thanks for the clarification.

I'm not 100% on this, but my understanding after spending too much time trying to figure it out is that the heelpiece is the exact same between the ATK Raider, ATK C-Raider, and the Helio 350. The difference is in the toe pieces. The Raider has a traditional dual-spring style toe, the C-Raider incorporates carbon fiber into its dual-spring toe to make it lighter (hence the C in the name, C for Carbon), and the Helio 350 uses the "monolink" toe found on the Crest.

Now we're getting deep in that ATK/Hagan/BD rabbit hole...

FYI here is a marker alpinist, reading more about these, looks like less harsh than other lightweight options https://blisterreview.com/at-binding...er-alpinist-12

Yeah I saw these - not a bad deal, but I was wary about the 9 din rating. Not like I'm sending crazy cliffs in the BC, but I tend to go for binders with up to 12 in adjustability for durability and predictability for hard charging.

Definitely heard that the Alpinist has a relatively smooth ride (Sam and Luke at Blister seem to concur). Found some Alpinist 12s for $319+ship with SnowInn btw. I've purchased from them before, and was happy I did!
