You ever been to the Canadian Rockies? Assuming things are "sorta normal" by next summer, that would be high on my list of locations.

Also - 05:45MST is 13:45CEST in Zurich... just throwing that out there. And Europe, generally speaking, has really good internet.

yeah that's probably the plan. I'll probably live near skiing in the winter and near good biking in the summer. I tend to move every 6 months anyway. I think there may be some issues with living outside the US, I've read it causes some legal/tax issues for the employer. Also a friend of mine lives in Switzerland (he doesn't ski, go figure) and it's insanely expensive over there. If I can get away with it, I'll probably spend some time in Central/South America. I haven't made it to CA yet, Banff and BC are on the list for sure.

I'm not even sure, as a remote worker, how anyone would even KNOW that you were remotely working from somewhere... might be worth looking into, though.

And Switzerland is, indeed, quite pricey - fortunately the French Alps, Italian Alps, and Austrian Alps were pretty reasonable from what I recall. Also - the Italian coast has some KILLER biking from what I've seen. Might be fun to live in one of those little seaside villages and ride your ass off all summer.

I do not see Hanover NH as a ski town. It's hardly a college town.

I don’t see Rexburg ID either. Four year school and Targhee only 50 miles away

wooooooof livin' in the burg tho, that's a tall glass of caffeine free coca cola. all you gotta do is sacrifice your religious freedom, put up with constant handmaid's tale style surveillance, and keep a 10pm curfew. not to mention the fact that you can't wear shorts or sandals.

that's a no from me, dawg.

Very true. My daughter went to grad school in Mobile, AL. To establish residency she got a library card on a trip to find an apartment 2 months before she started. It was that easy...
Many communities require proof of residency to get a library card - proof being a bill or mail to a local address

honestly they're really not. It's a lot of levi lovin' and rugburn on yer willy.

the dunes are cool like, 3 times.

source: from Idaho, raised Mormon, went to byu, and dated a ton of byu-i girls. it's a shit hole if there ever was one. avoid at all costs.

Wait I thought this was tgr and we kept perpetuating stereotypes.....

My good buddy's family is a fairly well known mormon family with roots around star valley and south of SLC. He's obviously not in good standing if he hangs with heathens like me. Anyways I digress.

Back on topic everyone already knows Bozeman is the only right answer as evidenced by the opening of a TGR store.

You would deny OP the chance to experience a different culture?

calling green jello and PJ parties where you watch disney movies with your 5 roommates until your 11pm curfew a culture is a bit of a stretch.

also winters in rexturd are a special kind of hell.

Oh c’mon there’s way more to the diet besides jello. There’s green bean casserole with fried onions on top. And funeral potatoes. And mayonnaise. And sugar. And Milktoberfest!

And there’s TP parties & group camp outs and the game of Seek besides watching Disney movies. Momo boys are heavily into internet porn.

Final thing - the lift line crowds on Sunday will be light at the ‘Ghee

Even if Rexburg was somewhere that I’d consider, Rexburg to Ghee is not a road trip I’d want to regularly make in the winter.

Do whatever you want, but make sure you marry well and live off your partner's family money. Worked for me but I'm exceptionally witty and handsome.

Edit to add: It helps if you learn to sail.

Colorado Mountain College has one of the cheapest four year degrees in the country.

Lots of campuses in actual ski towns.

Seems like you got it wrong. College is about fucking chicks, getting drunk, and piling into a hostel on ski trips.

This thread is worse than the presidential debate, (except for the T-Rex soaking cartoon).
