    What´s Eric Pollard up to?

Word on the streets, he is launching a new skibrand. Called something like Season(s).

    Skis made by Atomic.

With his design skils the result must be outstantding. I like the design with all those little details only a handdrawing can reveal. Him and Chis Benchetler made my favorite ski designs.

    best off luck

I absolutely love the Pescados, definitely an all time favorite for me. Curious to see what he's up to now.

That sounds really cool and if true, a huge loss for line and likely a huge creative boon for EP. He won't be limited by the SFB + larger SFB (Opus/Outline) style ski he's created a giant market for and can branch out more if he wants.

I wonder how the rights to the shapes of the Sakana & Pescado are going to go down. If they were to go with him it would explain the addition of the line blade which has taken over Line's marketing lately. It would also explain him not being present in any of the 2021 Line product vids.

He is working to start a new ski/snowboard brand called Season. Not sure if it will launch THIS season, but that was the plan.
Skis are not, to my knowledge, made by Atomic (though Atomic contracts out a lot of skis for a lot of other brands, and would be a great place to have your skis built if you couldn't get a factory up and running in time).
Austin Smith is the snowboard signee. At least one other Line alumnus is involved.

Sounds like the longtime former intern to president of Line is involved too.
I’m pretty excited to see what comes of this

So this is his plan and it is all for some time in preparation? That would be great. First, I thought that Line is running in financial problems and they can not longer afford someone like him on the payroll. Looking forward to the new skis.

Why are the skis so short

I bet they all ski so smooth, the nexus in a 189 would be sweet.

Agreed. I hope he adds a longer length down the road.

Totally, I wonder though if the swallow tail makes the pow ski feel longer (similar to Pescado)?

That ski probably skis fine in the 183. The 96mm hard snow ski is also probably fine at 180, but would be nice in a mid 180 length also.

Mostly the nexus would benefit from the longer length.

Pretty awesome that a 119 Pescado finally exists. Probably works a bit better inbounds when it gets chopped up.

Couple interesting things through chatting with them --

    - Available via online and Evo stores
    - Should be showing up in ~Nov 15
    - All skis made mostly from carnuba cores. The Aero has titanal.
    - Nexus is stiffer than SFB all around and "less hooky", similar stiffness profile.
    - Construction is contracted out. Design is theirs.

Glad to see the new shapes and slightly longer swallow tails. I just had to adjust to no tail support. Cool stuff

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

    ha!
their thread has actually been a decent source of info (probably the first time I’ve said that about a newschoolers thread) since Josh Malczyk is running the business with pollard and he posts on NS regularly
