I realize it may be bad form to bring this up during the afterglow of a prime time win under challenging circumstances, but you have got to be fucking kidding me with the injuries. Now Donavan Peoples-Jones and Denzel Ward are going in for MRIs today? 2 more starters down?

It's like god doesn't want this team to go to the playoffs this year.

Not a Brownie fan, but just took a peek at their remaining schedule and they've got some tough games, notably back to back vs. Ravens. Not sure I've ever seen a home and away in the NFL. Or is this the NHL?

Divisional games are always tough, no matter how shitty a team is, unless you're in the NFC east of course.

You had to come in here and make these guys feel worse?

I, on the other hand, would like to offer some encouragement.

I knew it would be bad but not this bad....Chicago might've just ruined yet another QB.

All signs point to Baker starting this week against the Steelers.

    https://www.cleveland.com/browns/202...takeaways.html

The Steelers are not good but any given Sunday and all that. Why not sit your ass down for 3 weeks and let the 9 million dollar backup do his thing so you can let your broken bone and shoulder heal?

One JJ Watt type sack and you’re done for the year. I don’t get it. Love the guy’s toughness and desire to get out there and beat their rival, but think long term my man.

As long as we can stay away from beating him over the head with his own helmet, I'm ok with that.

    Maybe don't be so picky.

Baker might be trying to earn his extension? Or maybe he's just that competitive. Word out of ESPN is that the Browns are willing to pay him mid to high 30s per year. Works for me.

Losing to the Steelers would put a pretty large dent in the season plans. Losing Baker for the year would be a larger dent.

    Picky, picky.

Pay Baker all he wants the man went into Pittsburgh and throttled them in the Playoffs. As Browns fans the only thing better is a Super Bowl.

Couldn't agree more with your last sentence. Quite the balancing act going on here it seems.

I’m glad I’m not watching this one and only listening on xm. This sounds like some ugly AFC North football.

That was awful. Drops, penalties, crap. Browns have the most penalty yards against them in the league.

There will be some depression tonight, I’ll say that.

Talk radio tomorrow will be rough.

I'm not even a Browns fan and that one hurt. I don't think you can blame Mayfield for that loss. How many balls did Landry drop in addition to his fumble? Browns should have won that game.

Nope I’m amending my prior overreaction, this one is on the heart and soul of the team, Landry.

Just listened to his presser and he laid out in no uncertain terms how his missteps lost em the game.

    Fuck.

Why did the browns abandon the running game.seems this loss is more on the play calling and the penalties than bakers performance. Not saying he shone. Landry threw away the game

Just saying run the ball against the afc north. Especially your biggest rival in the first of 2 division games. Next Boomers bengals. Good luck with that stephanski.

While i get that the AFC north is smashmouth football, these Browns games this year have been the most boring games in the NFL schedule each week.

And just like that, we’re back to the title of the thread. Luckily the weather here turned and we’ve got cold, rain and snow. Seems more appropriate to the mood.

Full-court press by OBJ to get traded by the 4pm deadline going on.

Only difference is, he's not saying a thing. His dad put out a totally un-prompted video this morning showing how open he is all the time and criticizing Baker, LeBron James tweets out #freeOBJ, OBJ's usual press contacts put out quotes on social media citing unnamed sources that his relationship with Baker is "beyond repair".

The guy can sure whip the internet into a froth, I'll give him that.
