In what should come as a shock to absolutely no one who has paid even a shred of attention to Hue Jackson since he was fired by the Browns, Hue immediately went on ESPN yesterday and failed to specifically back up his claim that the Haslams paid him to lose, instead falling back on previous grievances with the Haslams and Browns about being set up to fail.

Back to flinging poo on twitter Hue!

Hue “I’m not butthurt, you’re butthurt” Jackson admits to CNN that he was not paid money to lose games as he and his foundation manager alleged earlier in the week.

Meh. He presented two very different appearances from his time with the Browns. One, a hardworking locker room kind of guy willing to what it takes to make it work, and two, the guy who, as confirmed by other players as recently as this last week, was actively trying to get out of Cleveland since the day he got there.

He kicked and screamed (through openly moping, cryptic social media, family members and backchannels) and got his wish to be released so he could go sign with a contender of his choosing. Good for him, he's the most NBA of any NFL player with how he conducts his business.

Incredible talent, and it sucks he and Baker couldn't make it work, but when a guy is demanding a release and I have to make a decision on who I'm keeping as a GM, it's the QB every single time even if that guy is the less talented of the two. That's just common sense.

can you block anything OBJ related on the internet?

i know a few cool bars you can go to get away from it in cleveland or akron. at least the cavs could get in the playoffs.

You’ve been here for 5 posts and you used that 5th post to try and run and hide from OBJ hot takes?

An alienate your starting QB by chasing an alleged sexual predator and getting rejected is it too early to start drinking bump.

Baker Mayfield told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that he no longer wants to play for the Browns. He said the relationship between him and the team is tarnished beyond repair.

Off this list, has there been a QB better than Mayfield? Or do you have to go back to Kosar?

Just saw this. Fuck Baker. I hope you end up with the jets or out of the league all together. We are taking your keys back from progressive field. Go get your coffee somewhere else.

Browns have failed Investing 101. They bought Baker high, and are selling low.
I welcome the Browns return to dumpster fire, bottom feeding status. Be that, or a Super Bowl contender. The in-between is too dull!

That's awesome. I met him years ago at an event at GLBC.

Wow. This really turned into a Browns-level dumpster fire.

Apparently Andrew Berry, Jimmy Haslam and Kevin Stefanski offered to fly to Austin to meet with Baker to mend fences and he refused and his reps requested that he be traded today.

Mary Kay Cabot is reporting that the Browns have told Baker's reps that they will not grant Baker his trade request and that he is their QB.

Holy shit, what a junkshow. All cause you wanted to go after an accused sexual predator. Golf clap boys.

I don't care if Berry did tell Baker that they were going to pursue a top-tier QB if one became available and that he's their guy otherwise. How in the world you think this would go any other way if you didn't land Watson?

Kosar will forever be the king in Cleveland, but Couch was actually a really good QB, they just surrounded him with an expansion team-quality line and he got broken.

I had a chance to catch up on some CLE sports talk this afternoon and we learned a couple things today.

    1. Andrew Berry is a savage motherfucker, willing to sell his teams soul to the devil to go to the super bowl.

    2. Berry and Stefanski knew exactly how Baker would react, which made this all the more easy for them to execute.

I don’t like it and think Baker should be the guy but I don’t own the team so hey.

Beasley is gone also. So no matter whom is QB next year, that is another receiver that they have to fill.

I mean no disrespect, ok maybe I do, but when Kosar is held up as your team's historical paragon of QB play, dear lord.
