Rams have 11 player on covid list. Browns now up to 14 with Baker, including 10 players who start (including JoJo the kick returner.) Plus, I there may be more today, as Baker was an unofficial announcement - not on the list yet. List will likely get longer.

At the very least they should move the game from Sat to Sun or Mon. This is stupid. Including injuries and the OBJ release they are missing:

    QB1
    RB1B
    TE1, TE2
    LT1, RT1
    G1
    WR1, WR2

Remaining offensive starters: 3. Guard, center, running back.

Plus the punter and the kick returner.

Plus the starting a defensive lineman and linebacker, and 2 of the top 3 cornerbacks, and the nickelback.

    Plus tons of second stringers.

Currently. Waiting for the official reports from today. I assume it will be more.

Holy fuck - just announced the new ones. 6 more. Now have 19 players on the Covid list.

    Updated. here's who's missing:

    Offense:
    QB1
    RB1B
    TE1, TE2
    LT1, RT1
    G1
    WR1, WR2

Remaining offensive starters: 3 players. Guard, center, running back.

    Special Teams:
    Kick returner
    Punter

    Remaining: 1 player: place kicker

    Defense:

    DT1, DT2
    LB 1
    CB2, CB3
    SS1
    Nickel1

Remaining on defense: 5 plyers: both DEs, LB2, CB1 and FS1

So, 3 starters left on offense, 5 on defense, and 1 on special teams. Plus tons of second stringers. What a great fucking season.

Edit: oh, yeah. And the coach.

I have an idea for a new commercial.

Fans dressed like dogs are waiting for the gates to First Energy Field to open up for Sunday's game. Emily comes to the gate and announces that Baker and all the backup QB's are in Covid quarantine this week and the game is cancelled. Pan to silence and dejected looks. Just as all fandom hope is lost, Johnny Manziel comes running across Key Plaza in a Browns uniform to save the day.

The Browns are so much more entertaining when they are crushing teams, or a complete dumpster fire.

This in-between stuff isn’t doing it for me

Backup starting QB Case Keenum now out with a positive COVID test.

    They can't play this game.

    This is ridiculous.

Well, if I'm a player on the roster and my team has enough player to field a roster, I'm playing the game. No game, no game check. You don't play you get the L anyway. May as well get paid.

    Go Mullins!

Also Harrison Jr and Delpit out.

Playing this game endangers both teams from an injury standpoint and the Browns have 20 fewer healthy bodies than they should, and if you really care about controlling Covid you should not expose the Raiders to the Browns right now. And the Browns are nearly 100% vaxxed and following all protocols.

Tough way to lose the season.

What would it hurt to play the game on Monday instead and see if anyone clears by then?

Edit: also AJ Green, who is now a starting CB with Newsome and Williams out.

Players Association aggressively pushing to postpone the game and maybe the entire league for one week as a circuit breaker. reading that nearly 50% of the Browns roster has tested positive, but I'm not sure that works, mathwise.

So where are they going to play home games while Baker's isolating at home?

    It’s insane what’s happening.

You can’t play the game at this point and still say you care about player safety.

Some scrub off the street is going to get his head blown off and catch COVID.

Then he’ll get cut by Monday.

    It was indeed.

Hadn’t thought of that. Are there practice team dudes that are so far from game-ready that they’re at risk of getting killed?

Totally feel for browns fans. But it’s to the point of being funny now.

Broncos played a practice squad receiver last year, because he played a little QB in High School.

Was a joke of an offense, but he did not die…
