    2020-21 Orygun: The Optimist’s Thread

Thanks for the reminder! Storm skiing in Oregon is fun from time to time.

K2skier showing us how it’s done last January, on a fresh acl and a good day with a snowboarder buddy:

Going to be an optimist and go with the K2 in the top photo with nice powder turns representing this upcoming season, and hope this year doesn’t end up like the second photo, in a heap under the brush.

I better go hunt up a (or twenty) sixer(s) of Ft. George to help my outlook. Here to optimism!

At this point all specifications on this prototype are under confidentiality alleviation.

I never knew what I was missing until I saw these. Can I get on the pre-order waitlist?

This is a very popular design and a big waiting list but with your magnificent standing membership we can squeeze you in with a maggot discount, a complementary sled ride would be nice. :-)

I know that this is the optimist's thread, but my wife just told me there is a small fire in Heather canyon. Thought she was playing shitty joke.

    Nope.

Pic at 0951 shows a helicopter over the smoke. White River Fire is close by so may dispatch a crew from there. Wind is blowing the wrong way to be spotting.

I was mirror linking a streaming app (vlc) to android auto and happen to be on ski resort cams and saw this. What started this fire?

I was a torn ACL away from pulling the trigger on a Sahale. Got healed up went to check on them and they were sold out. Already bought my all access full blown MHM pass for 20/21...fingers crossed

I'm only good for about 4 nice celluloid turns, then I need a nap.

Optimism for those 4 nice turns! I hope for your continued ACL recovery.

Oh fuck! What have we done with this tread? Shit’s literally on fire!

Yes, of course. Fires today make better skiing tomorrow. Got it. Back in the optimism wagon.

Bad day for a fire at Meadows. I hope they get it out before the winds come. (Which would be unlikely is my guess)
Historic wind event on the way for this time of year. No bueno.
