Within 5 hours drive either east, north or south of MTL there are a shit ton of ski hills. Many within 90min to 2 hrs. For sure wont be able to go south of the border this year, but still many options. Add to that the really good xc in town, which i can access via public transit... and I am stoked.
I have thought about moving to a mountain town, but the summers here are just too good to pass up, especially now with all the new concrete skate parks the city has built in the last 5 years.
I'm glad it doesn't make the lists. MTL is the best ski town that is not a ski town. But that is just my opinion man.27° 18°

You're damn right. MTL is a great base town for making day trips and returning to the city to party or just hang out and chill. Once you get off the island the roads are generally pretty smooth sailing as well, from my experience. Vermont isn't far either for a beer run.
