FedEx dropped a pair of skis over the fence and into my yard with a teething Pyrenees who did a bit of damage by the time I found them.

Your dog, your floor, and your skis look color-coordinated, Muggy.

Kai approves of the veneer, probably wouldn’t mind chewing on them either

    Nice!
They are super stiff; even stiffer than my OG Kusalas.

I just got done laying my OG Kusalas and the Praxis Kusala on my kitchen table for some measurements.
Straight pull: Praxis Kusala 188cm; PMGear Kusala 184cm.
Mount point: Praxis 101mm from tip; PMGear 99.5mm from tip.
If one lines up the mount points there is an extra 22mm up front and 18mm in the tail.
Contact points look to shifted back by 13mm both front and rear.

Based on that I think I will mount -1.3cm or maybe -1.7cm as I t positive hink I mounted my OG stiffs at -4mm because of hole conflict.

This makes me laugh as it completely jibes with Splats earlier post regarding mount recommendations.

The rocker profile looks extremely close to the original (I have 2 to compare with; one very stiff and one softer and light).
My Praxis Kusalas look to have the tiniest bit of positive camber underfoot.
I could see must a hair of light underneath the base when it was upon the kitchen table.
Can also see very slight upward movement in the shovels when standing on them in socks.
Totally fine by me, definitely flat when weighted.

Regarding weight I went Enduro-C with Maple veneer.
On my kitchen scale they are coming in at about 5#3oz..
Someone posted upthread that their Enduro-C + Maple came in at 5# flat?
    I'll try another scale.

Either way they look like straight up pow killers.

    Super stoked!

    Thanks Pat and Keith!

And the tip, as previously noted, is 1cm higher than the OG.
    Looks great.

Kusala Pow By Praxis - Orders Close 10/17

Serious FOMO has set in, deep...
The supa stiff comments are killing me. They just weren’t in the cards for me during the order time. Feck.
If someone skis theirs and doesn’t jive with them I would appreciate first go at them. Not interested in UL. Sad thanks...

I can see us doing them again next year, 2FUNKY.

Pfluff - that's hilarious how the three of us got to the same spot by totally different mechanisms.
Thanks for that detailed side by side analysis, dood!
I know I won't have that false fear feeling of going over the bars with this new tip.
That took some getting used to on the 186s.
I know a few people couldn't believe how well they landed in pow when launched.

Don't worry dood. You'll be able to get on mine and take them out for a few laps this winter.

I’m swinging by the factory tomorrow to pick my pair up. I’ll ask Keith if he’s got any extras he’s selling and can post up here 👍🏼

The funny thing was first run on OG kusala was so intuitive at mount point. It just works and does fine and no dive

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Picked up my pair from the factory yesterday. Holy crap these things are stiff! Never been on a ski this stiff - let alone a pow specific stick. Super excited to try these out. The shape looks money

Asked Keith if he had any extra pairs left over and he said he sold them all. But it sounds like he's open to further Praxis x PM collabs in the future.

    here's hoping!

Yeah, hoping the stiff flex spanks a few so I can sloppy seconds.

Got these mounted up and I’m pretty excited how they look. They’re stiff for a pow ski, but not more burly on a hand flex then a bodacious or head kore.

First runs on my Kusalas today. 2” of fresh on groomers. Pleasantly surprised how easy they are on the groomers back to the lift. And a bit of float when up to speed in the soft snow. Feels very intuitive and nimble considering their width with no tendency to hook. Easy to pressure the fronts.

Didn’t detune and mounted on the dot. Kudos to Keith and Pat.
