Today’s stage of Tirreno-Adriatico was better than any stage in this years Tour. EF put on a show, and Rusty Woods delivered the goods. Killer race to watch, seek it out.

It was really nice, I can’t believe he went for that gap. But that’s what ya gotta do to prevent yourself from getting put into the barriers.

The judges relegated Sagan to 85th and denied him finish sprint points. He overplayed it. Peter had a chance to the win if he just held that tight line rather than sacrifice forward progress for that rather obviously dangerous move. Handlebars had room to spare due to his closing speed. imho, WvA did angle a bit, drawing the foul, as it were.

Yup, it seemed like Sagan was trying to make space where none existed. Judges may have been more interested in penalizing him after his episode a couple of years ago with Cav. And to make the Green Jersey comp more interesting.

But even with the relegation, one of my fantasy teams is still first...
    The other is last...

As with the Cav incident, I side with Sagan in his effort not to get smacked in the head.

I agreed with the Cav decision, but I thought yesterday was fine.
Racing is heating up in today’s stage, this should be a fun last hour.

So what’s the new dope that the Slovenians are on? Bernal is reporting that he had some of his best numbers ever yesterday and was absolutely knackered at the line. The Slovenians were smiling at the line. What gives?

Wow! Redefinition of points classification tactics...seems historic. (Note the lack of spoiler info)

Yup, Bora deployed a rather "unique" strategy. Foiled by Sunweb...

I was totally expecting Aliphillipe or Van Aevermat to go at the next to last last hill. Aliphilippe started then quit. Maybe decided to save that match for tomorrow...

I'm starting to wonder if Sagan will pull out if he doesn't seriously cut into Bennett's lead soon - let him be rested for the Giro, and let the other Bora riders focus on stage hunting - they have some good climbers.

I had Van Aevermaet as my road captain today. I was standing up and shouting at him through the TV with 3kms to go.

Looks like they're going to make it to the end. Zero positive tests after both rest days and I don't think they'll be testing any more now.

It's actually been a very entertaining tour this year IMHO.

Good on ASO for putting solid Covid procedures in place.

Indeed it has. It could be pretty wild tomorrow, with 2 HCs. Looks to be a great pokadot battle with 4-5 riders all in the hunt and the sprint battle in La Rochette could be crucial. GC isn't totally settled, but tomorrow should do it.
