Cyprinus Carpio Fishing
Based on recent comments and photos in the Fish Squeezing thread a few on the board fish for carp. I have had the good fortune to fish for many species of fish in salt and freshwater commercially and for sport, but have never fished for or caught a carp. Please help me understand the allure and romance of carp fishing (I have no preconceived notions beyond knowing Izaak Walton was a carp fan).

Fishing for trout with ultralight and hooking a carp is good fun. Just don’t bring it home to mom to cook up. She may be a good sport about it, but secretly she’ll hate you.
