Soldier Mtn burns
Lightening caused fire. Lifts and lodge intact. Magic carpet and bridge accessing the base area appear total loss.
More cowbell!!!

Soldier has been through a lot over the last decade or so. Multiple owners, poor snow conditions down low, very few people visiting or skiing anymore there. Mountain Home schools don't go there anymore because Pomerelle has taken their business. Single lift chair passes aren't sold anymore. Their cat skiing program is hit or miss. Anything else you'd like to know?
What's below the people in Arco? More basalt and gravel?

What is below Arco? The Idaho nuclear lab and all of the buried waste from the good old days. There was talk of putting a dome over the aquifer to decrease the water getting into all the old buried nuc waste.
I have only been around Pocatello since 2002 so I don’t have all the history and there is lots of it .
