    The $6k price for the Spur is just the parts kit, you've still gotta add a $3k frame. Check the text under step 3 on the Transition website. Not sure why the other builds aren't like that.

    I've sold three bikes in the past year and only replaced one of them, just doesn't feel right. Might need to buy something just for a little pick me up

    Transitions are very nice but man are they pricey. You could almost buy 2 cubes, konas, or giants at an lbs for that. I know, fuck specialized, but that new status is a pretty good deal on a well thought out bike. Just saw a 2021 trek slash too. Pimped model looks amazing. I want to see the geo numbers. Hope they steepened their seat angles. I think its 160r/170f with a fox 38. Hoping they come out with a long travel 180 ebike

    The COMPLETE XX1 (with a frame and everything) is $8999.
    XO1 (with a frame and everything is $5999
    GX with, you got it, a frame and everything is $4999.

    The frame, all by itself is $2999. The XX1 built kit is $6000. When added together: $8999.
    It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

    I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

    I'm curious... which DTC brands (and bikes) is everyone lusting after these days? I'm super curious about Forbidden and Deviate, with their high pivot trail/enduro bikes; looks like there's next to no availability though. Who else is making cool shit these days outside the big players?

    Amazing what Lew Buchanan is able to do on that druid. His last vid had him testing mullet setup vs full 9er at fort bill. He's keeping heavy hitters on dh bikes in check. Id be down for a druid mullet for sure

    Aside from GG (which I am loving), I'm definitely Druid-curious also, especially in mullet mode. As Grinch says, it's insane what Lewis Buchanan is doing with his. I didn't give it serious consideration when I was new bike shopping this spring because of the 75 seat angle.

    Other than that, the others that caught my eye were actually European. The Propain Tyee and Raaw Madonna, but I don't *need* 160mm rear. I'd be curious to try a Nicolai mullet too, but it's too long to suit my local trails.

    I'm kind of enamored with the YT Izzo Comp, hard to ignore a complete bike at the same price as the other frames I'm interested in. Could swap all the parts from the Izzo over to my hardtail in exchange for the hardtail's full XT kit going on the Izzo.

    That being said I'm getting tight shorts over the Ranger

    Just did some riding/climbing on my new Intense with a 75* seat angle and actually really liked it.

    Not as glamorous as all your high$$$ bikes, but Giant just released specs on the 2021 Trance X29, more trail-oriented travel than the existing Trance29 with better geo than either the Trance 29 or Trance 27.5. X29-3 has Rhythm 36 with SLX on Giants aluminum frame (that’s lighter and as stiff as many companies’ carbon) along with the Maestro suspension and great Giant value, I think it’s a winner. I’ll wait for a post-season demo bike to come up for sale and get one winter 2021/22 when my 2017 Trance needs a bunch more maintenance.

    Still waiting on more info on the WeAreOne bike. Speculation is that it will be designed around adjustable travel.
