I only know one person with one. Hes a skinny dude. Most of the beta i hear about them is gleaned from the emtb forum so maybe theyre "fat blokes". To me they look really nice, good geo and i hear their customrr service is very good. I really like their emtb's. Bosch motor. Stand over isnt the best but the rest of the numbers are on point
I think theyve started distributing in the states too. I imagine we'll see more over here

Maybe it lets them get the shock exactly where they want it for the kinematics they were looking for, but I think that could've been done in a more traditional / straightforward manner. And I guess there's some benefits to not having the shock exposed to mud and dirt.

But mostly I think they just wanted to make a clean looking bike.
Two water bottles was likely also a big driver for them.

I love the way it looks, personally would do a bit more slope to the tt but other than this I think they nailed it cleaning up the original Bold design.

Thoughts on the new Evil Insurgent MX 29??
Looks like it would be a sick shred machine for SW Montana. Not a huge bike nerd, please enlighten me...

The Beta guys really liked it. I'd think a mullett would suck for steep climbs, but if that's not a concern ...

Super boost rear end combined with 27.5” wheels sounds like a recipe for heel rub to me.

Damn, my ‘92 Beast Of The East frame had a 330mm bottom bracket height!

    Is that static, or sagged?

I'm seeing either 343 or 341mm. Are you sure you read that correctly?

Evil's whole "low / extra low" geometry scheme is dumb. Particularly since, by modern standards, their bikes really aren't all that low.

That aside, the 27.5 version looks like it might be fun.

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Right! I haven't built custom bike since COVID. I'm afraid to start a build. I guess there's no more waiting till fall and buying leftover new parts for cheap??

Along with the recent Enduro I've been trying out, I thought the first gen Sentinel was tied for best bike ever for me. Enduro being burlier park bike and the Sentinel being a great all day bike for me. I love how burly Transitions alloy frames are, they feel even more substantial than all my Commencal frames. For better or worse. I might just buy the frame.

The frame/shock isn't much more than a Commencal Clash/Meta a la carte frame with shock. However Commencals full builds are ridiculously cheap still. I may have to go that way because I'm broke and I've never ridden a bad Commencal, they've all been really good too.

I just ordered one of these today. I'm downright giddy. Will round out the quiver so nicely with the SB150 monster truck I already have in the stable for bike park and gnar enduros. Trail rides with cush core and DH tires were getting old. This little 115 will fly. Probably try to race it in the Helena and Ashland enduros.

My SB100 was super capable, and often faster on DH’s that had any sort of pedaling than my 155 Instinct. I just ran out of suspension at speed too often for my liking, front and rear.

This is like 5 christmases wrapped into one. I saw it was available on that evil goat website. The only size Medium SB115 apparently anywhere. I looked at it for almost 24 hours and pulled the trigger this AM. It's an XT build too. Gonna upgrade the wheels and then this thing will be fucking pimped right out of the gate.

Y'all got anymore of them listings?

Tonight I installed a RideWrap on a clients Sant Cruz 5010 S Build with GX Eagle, G2 brakes, FOX 34 Performance,
RS Super D Select+, Dt 370s laces to RaceFace AR30's. Not the build I would choose, but otherwise It's a really nice bike.
Ive been looking for a 130/140 27.5 frame for the Mrs. I was impressed by the quality of this bike. I think it might be a front runner for her.

Youve never gone for a little gap to clear some roots then try it on a rainy day and come up short? Oh wait, nevermind

    Inserts and electric motors.

Congrats WRM, that looks like a worthy addition to your stable.
