I think your hopes are *way* more likely to be realized coming off a Sektor. But then again... you're going to a Fox... so maybe not.

Nice, interested to hear how you like it. They're located 10mins from where my parents live so I was planning to take a demo out this year when I went home. Won't happen now due to covid travel restrictions. They only had a size large in the shop last year.

This is pretty cool, from an engineering point of view.

Seems pretty similar to what Pole is doing.

Cool stuff. I wonder how well those things hold up in the long term.

That is really nice looking. Nice steep seat tube too.

edit: and it should be for that price! assuming it costs about the same as the current one which the PB article said they were shooting for

I’ll take the Steel/AL version. Thing is sexy.

the new Devinci Troy looks like a great UT/WY/ID rig. stoked on the chainstay decision. superboost might be a tough pill to swallow but the gx looks like a pretty decent spec/price as I still like the standard grip forks.

its interesting that the gx spec comes with exo+ and the xt spec is DD.

The new Troy looks great. I upsized my 2019 Troy and ran a -1 degree angleset. The new bike, with its longer reach and slacker head angle, looks to have incorporated those changes, along with a steeper seat angle (which didn’t really bother me on the old one). This new bike should be a nice incremental improvement.

It looks pretty perfect. Steep sa but not too steep. Im just on the fence if i go small or medium for the usage. If it was my only bike probably a medium. Along side my meta id probably get a small. Meta 29 is amazing with sone speed but a handful in slow tight xc and the steep sa doesnt help there either. I think we've reached the limit of longer, lower, slacker ha, steeper sa. Not sure what the next sales pitch we're reaching for

Ya , bit of an oops on that one. Props for being honest and releasing it. My meta is just sublime in the park running it as a mullet. Bb is dragging just off the ground and the ha is just a smidge over 63. I can see where that donut would come alive on the steeps if its straight or high speeds. I just got one offset pushing and 165 cranks to give the pedals a touch more clearance and i dont like the dead spot on my spin w 170. Decide if i make the fork 180 , add another offset bushing or just leave it from there. Find the happy medium so i can switch from full 9er to mullet with just a rear wheel swap.
Sooo many great options and builds now its hard to just have one bike. Theyre so dialed for there intended purpose now. Someone needs to make a meme for that from the meme that has the guy walking with his girl but looking over his shoulder checking out the other girl. Thats me only the ither girl is 2 sisters and theyre different sizes

My wife got the "You'll definitely have it by the beginning of September with plenty of time to ride it and get used to it before your 3 week UT/CO trip." Her trip ends in 4 days with no updated delivery date.

Ibis sucked on delivery dates last year before this goddamn pandemic, I think they're the worst offender of anyone.

A buddy had a Pivot 429 order first held up due to lack of Shimano drivetrain parts, then held up again due to lack of saddles of all things! Thankfully his shop was able to hound the pivot rep to hound the factory to figure out a workable parts solution ...
But anyways, yeah the entire supply chain for OEM spec parts seems pretty hosed right now.

Altachic got a new knee and turned 40, so new bike is happening. Considering the following non-dentist new school 29ers:

    -Meta TR 29
    -Trance X 29
    -Ripmo AF

Thoughts? Anything else in the $4k and under price point I should consider.

The Meta would win easily for me out of those. It looks like it wants to party. Might not be the best daily driver around these parts though, depends on what she’s into riding.
