What a huge loss to his family, the Jackson clan, and people whose feet hurt in their ski boots. Sorry I only got to communicate via a few PM's. RIP SIJ.

Once bought a jacket from him on gear swap. Gave me a great deal, and when I opened the package there was a nice note and a grip of cool stickers from around Jackson. His positivity was obvious, even thru the us mail.
In with the 9.

I'm missing Stephen already. A small piece of me is gone forever.
I'll remember his chill attitude and welcoming smile and how it covered his hilariously funny distaste for the 'Man'.
And he could pepper the company with the best of them.
Like these that he gave me:
I had to laugh at the description of his ski style. Tight feet, wings out, dialed.
That kind of skiing ease comes from a life of passionate turns.
He could ski anything, anywhere, in any weather.
JH Ski Bum, to the bone.

Has anyone heard of a fundraiser for the family, or something to help?
We knew him and his family well enough that we met up with them when we hit JH. It was crazy cool to watch his kids grow up over the years. They are 24, 21, 18, and 16 if my math is right.
I can only imagine the added expenses in their life and would happily contribute and publicize the crap out of it.Sometimes you have to let your bad self ski...

I have been in contact with three mutual friends in JH in the hopes they'd know something. So far, no one has information. I'll keep digging and post if I find something out.
So much sadness in this entire situation.
I just can't get Christy off my mind. Can't even imagine.
The solace I am holding on to is that Stephen was around long enough to have instilled his amazing spirit in those 4 incredible kids.Sometimes you have to let your bad self ski...

So much thought going to Christy and the girls right now. Solid work mags.
I am stuck. I can't bear to dial his phone number. I don't have another. Want to talk with C. but don't know where to begin. Would like very much to help us help them.
And my brain is just fried with the Loss of Stephen. Toughest week for me emotionally in a long time.
Thanks mags for the private vibes you've sent me. It helps.

I didn’t know Stephen very well, but the times I visit him in his shop, he always had me laughing. He was so happy the share his knowledge and joy of skiing with other mags. And so proud of his kids! Condolences to DJ, and all of you, that knew him and his family.
I would definitely like to know if something is set up for the family.

Didn’t know him, except for his posts here, but seemed like a great guy who would go above and beyond to help people out. Very sad.
One of you guys who knew him should contact his widow and help get a GoFundMe page set up.

RIP
Didn’t know him irl other than just a happy smiling face in the tram. But his online presence here was nothing but positive vibes and helpful advice.
The stories in here are nice.
A gofundme would be good.
Also a paypal addy would be cool. I’ve got a bunch of gear I’m tired of looking at and would like to post up with sale proceeds direct to the family.
Someone here could set up the PayPal and hand over the password once the family is more settled.
“We’re not here for a long time. We’re here for a good time.”
He didn’t get enough time but he made the most of it.. . .
