No I won't live forever. But time will go on. Actually it doesn't really go on--it is on, all the past, the present, all the future, all exist and are infinite. But no matter how infinite it is it apparently won't be long enough for me to get the birthday present my son sent me that's been sitting in the Sparks UPS terminal for 11 days.

I'll give it a try this winter, soon as I get done burning the pine tar into the bottom of my XC skis.

There are what you actually need: https://www.supercedar.com/

Use 1/4 of a puck if you're smart and allow your wood to dry split, stacked and top covered for 3 summers, or if you're lazy and stubborn and don't season your wood properly, you'll need to use 1/2 a puck.

Or. For free. You could ask your gc or sidewall friends to save cedar shingle scraps for you.

with a propane torch you can light full sized pieces of fire wood in about 30 seconds ... no kindling needed

Where I work is so neurotic that I would probably get fired for soliciting/accepting bribes if I did that. Meanwhile, pockets all over town get lined to allow every last inch of open land to be built on.

I knew a senior postal worker who is the mayor of the biggest big. I'd trust him to make sure mail-in ballots are postmarked in time

Problem is 1) I don't live in the largest of the biggest 2) That fucker retired and is now a jetsetting playboy chasing poopfish in Cody, trout on the Mo and dirtbag timemachines when the snow flies.

    So yeah we are fucked

I have 3 different mailboxes in this town and haven't gotten any mail in 3 days. Just a coincidence. Maybe or signs of things to come...

I think I met that guy and the USPS never ran better. Times change and we need to be resilient and embrace the change.

Which is pretty funny, because he also took payouts from the government to write pro-dam songs as a mouthpiece for the Bureau of Reclamation and the Bonneville Power Association.
