So it might have gotten a lot worse or stayed the same?

Right? We already tried this a couple years ago in ATL when some tweakers lit a bunch of material being stored under an elevated section of I-85 on fire and collapsed it . Worked fine and one Dodge driver even cleared it.

They did that with the old drawbridge that spanned the Bay, it was the longest fishing pier in the world at 1.5 miles until Ivan destroyed it.

We use to drive out with a hibachi, beer and a few joints to fish. They still have a fishing pier you can drive out on the Pensacola side but it’s only goes out 2k’ into the Bay.

I wondered the same when I watched the evening news and used the google. Apparently, the Atlantic doesn’t use X, Y, Z.

Right? Are there no rules anymore, or did we just assume storms T-Z were already in process?

Maybe they figured since the Atlantic is smaller it shouldn't get to use the whole alphabet. Good luck to your folks 2bj.

So that’s the rule? Second time through we just go straight phonetic alphabet, no imagination?

Cause I bet those folks down between Houston and Mobile can come up with something more colorful than whiskey tango foxtrot.

After they exhaust the Latin alphabet (names beginning with the letters Q, U, X, Y and Z are not used) they move to the Greek alphabet. This is only the second time the Greek alphabet has been used to name storms. The first was during the 2005 hurricane season.

I was just looking at this. They say it's going to pass over Mexico as a cat 4. Then head up our way. And the story was so matter of fact. How does mexico handle that type of damage?

Be safe Gulf mags. Have to re-calibrate my disappointment about my wet weekend coastal plans when it appears y'all gonna be dealing with another fucking blow.

This guy is streaming on YT in Lk Charles. Landfall estimated at about 820p local time. Already kicking pretty good. 125mph winds.

    Edit: the 125mph isn’t at LC...yet?

Anything’s possible, but the track forecasted is right in that area.
