All the carbs. With a few plastic shards thrown in for good measure.

I think you're ignoring the sausage-like patties in the center.

I honestly thought those were hash browns but on second look you're probably right. Mechanically separated meat product it is.

It actually does. Looks a lot like the salad I make every other week and eat the whole week through: mixed greens, dried cranberries, pine nuts, goat cheese and onions.

Wait, prisoners get pine nuts? Those things are like $35 a pound.

I’m eyeing up that slice of quiche in the corner. Making me want to fire up the oven and make one myself

OK, that is a quiche, but that’s obviously a store-bought crust too, so..... 50-50 Luxe/basic on that one.

I would love it if bendtheski confronted the cook and yelled at him, “WTF is the shit! Is this store-bought crust!! Fuck you!’

Then went back to his desk.

You know, these meals look a lot better than what I imagined prison food would be.

Except I’m the man, and like to be able to jump in and support my people if something big drops.

Her, and that could get me my nuts on the salad. (see what I did there?)

We had a male cook who was decent, but would occasionally make something no one wanted to eat, and then got butthurt when full trays came back.

Not sure I could deal with rejection on that scale on a daily basis.

    Free Shift Meal

^breakfast comes up at 6, so by the time I show up at 8 it’s all room temp, with a light film of congealed maple flavored corn syrup over the syrup pond.

Also, hope you wanted butter, although pretty easy to scrape off at room temp.

I look at the ham and feel kind of sad for the swine who comes to this sorry end.

Nice! It's been a while, was starting to wonder if we needed to 911 for a welfare check.
