It’s a great benefit and before COVID we would get a nice lunch buffet daily. Now everything is pre-made sandwiches that our staff prepares every morning. Just learned we have a manager here who takes her free sack lunch and throws it away most days. When confronted by our chef she said it’s her employee benefit to do with what she wants, usually eating the bag of chips and drinking the Gatorade, dumping the sandwich.
She was shocked that we have a problem with her wasting the food and she said what she does with her lunch benefit is her business and sometimes brings the sammy home to her bf for dinner.
