A firefighter was telling me the lunches they get are all wrong which I mention to my buddy and he said "700grams of yadada on 2 pieces bread which is exactly what the BCFS puts in the contract "

I will tell you who eats really well is the tree planters, they get as much food as they can eat, the menus are varied/interesting and the cooks have to do vegetarian as well

this year the treeplanters have had to be Covid compliant and it has elmininated colds and flu in the camps, a camp owner told me " no more sharing reefers or passing around a bottle at camp, drivivng around in trucks ever one is masked "

See I'm the exact opposite most of the time. Whether it's served to me or cooked at-home, I am all about devouring a meal the moment it is served.

    - Hot sandwich or burger? No way am I letting that cool down too much, I'm diving in.
    - Cold summer dish? I refuse to allow that potato salad get warm before it hit's my palate.
    - Bowl of cereal? Gone in a flash, as I hate soggy mini wheats with a passion.

I can answer the phone and talk on the radio with a mouth full of food. In the Dispatch world this is known as pocketing.

Those fried "churro-like" objects are prolly the only things on that tray I'd be comfortable consuming.

Growing up in the midwest as a young boy, I'd say that's good living and OMG what is this fancy sugary thing they call a churro????

    Now I'm a half-full prison-tray kind of guy.

You referring to the toilet wine or burritto?

I didn’t even get that far. Always keep some cheerios and lean cuisines on hand for back-up, for days like this...

What do we have in the top part? Grits? Is it two different substances, one left, one right? Or all the same thing? Is there eggs under the ham? Enquiring minds want to know. The toast looks decent actually. Better than my wife can make at least.

Believe it’s cream o’ wheat with a stick of melted butter. Could prolly make a sammich with the toast and ham, but ham is dry and salty AF.

    My diverticulitis says cheerios.

Grits don't even get up here, I've never seen them in a restaurant anywhere near here. The Grits Line is somewhere south of the Mason-Dixon line but not by that much, it's somewhere in northern Virginia I'd say.
