Talking Best and most reliable box fan

A friend of mine is in the market for a new box fan. Wants high performance and long life. Firm $37 budget.

    Any recommendations?

One of the more overlooked attributes of a box fan isn't how powerful it is, but how un-powerful and quiet its lowest setting is. You know, for when you want to keep some air moving, but don't want to listen to much fan noise.

They used to have a J1 visa employee waving palm fronds on the server.

    But COVID and shit.

So yeah we need a better box fan.

Is this what Ivanka meant with 'Find something new?' I never considered a career in fanning server closets.

I think the solution might be a bungee cord strapped to the box fan handle and the door handle to prevent it falling over again.

I feel bad for the poor thing, probably whirring away all night, fanning the shit out of 2 square feet of PBR-stained carpet while the server 2 feet away self-immolates until new Andrew comes in and finds it today.

This thread isn't really about box fans ;-)

Where can I send a check? I'll pay to have air conditioning installed in the server room. My husband has been pacing around the house like a caged animal jonesing for the dopamine rush he gets from posting here incessantly. I can't take it any longer!

I think the typical cooling is done by the office dogs wagging their tails.
but it’s like 81* here today so they must have slowed down.
I’ll swing by and “who’s a good dog” em. should help

You may be on to something here. Dog powered swamp cooler. Add some ice to the water bowl and we're in business

Is this an appropriate place to tell someone down at HQ that there are no more buttons for images, font, links, etc in the reply boxes?

If not I'll post it in Bullfighting.
