    15 miles yesterday under sunny skies and very little wind with great flow, about 4K cfs

    Finally going to pull the trigger on a SUP.

    Use case is 100% flat water, probably 30% of the time screwing around with a a toddler on board, 30% fishing.

    What's the going recomendation for brand/board around or under 500 bucks. irocker/high society/isle/bote?

    I went inflatable they are soft when you fall on them

    I just toss it in the truck and never worry about dinging the board

    I will even use it to cushion a hard board

    and i have fixed hard boards with epoxy

    I got a cheap ish inflatable off amazon for the basics of the use case you’re describing. Board works fine on Tahoe. Not the fastest by any stretch but plenty functional for what you’ve described. I paid less than 300

    Atoll sup’s seem to be pretty high quality and available in that price range, drop stitched construction, etc. Worth a look.
    I’ve sup’d flatwater with people who own Atoll’s and are happy with them.
