Hopefully you got a paddle too

We'll have to get out some this summer then. Most lakes have warmed up nicely the past week or two.

Hala has a 15% off sale that is still on as of the 6th.

Glued up some wiki rail tails on a couple boards that did not have them and added some additional click fin bases to other boards. Phun stuff.

Local creek wave came in today after enough rain in the right spot. Three hours of hammer down. Luckily a buddy showed up so we could switch off and not get wore out too fast.

Real treat this time of year.

Attaining and flat water paddles for low water season in between way too hot to be outside days.

Upside is meeting new folks to sup with.

yeah buddy is seriously disabled but still trying to push the limits, so i been helping him

back in the day as an able bodied skier he did 28000 ft roughly the height of everest by fair means so 18 laps no lift and 3 months later was a quadrapalegic from an accident at whistler bike park

it became a local fund raiser to ski 28000 ft in a day, it took buddy about 8hrs but he managed to uphill ski a 2km lap

no a quad, they tell me an incomplete spinal IS a quad

he was a pretty extreme individual before he got hurt so inspite of being a Quad he drives and he tries to do things with a lot of help like ski tour 2km or paddle a sit on top or even sup, things most able bodied people don't do

even ski down hill which we did using a 10 ft pole with him hanging on in the middle as we did S turns which is really interesting cuz the guy on the outside of the pole has to ski real fast while the guy on the inside almost stops and then it reverses as the outside guy becomes the inside guy

edit: I couldn't make it but apparently he modifyed the setup and managed to paddle a couple hundred feet yesturday so he was happy

he is a much loved local, he is wealthy enough that he insists on paying his assistants 25$ an hr

so we insist on donating the money to a worthy cause like the mtn bike club or the paddling club

Did a nice attainment yesterday with a new sup friend. Paddled up to an island and around then back down the channel behind it. Lots of fish back there and the island has a sweet but used campy spot. May do an over nighter there soon.

    Fun to explore new spots.

From this past weekend. Really good surfing and quiet float down a low use section below the rapids.

    ^ nice

Sup'ing the river has been my intro to white water. Last time I was out someone taught me how to do proper eddy peel outs...total game changer.

After two months of zero rain we finally got a good soaker. Rivers up some with slugs of water on the way. Got the gf out on her new boatd at a local surf wave. Good day!
