    RIP John Lewis

A great man, a true hero. To endure what he endured on the Edmund Pettis Bridge and over and over again other places is difficult to comprehend. .

    Courage personified.
I remember seeing footage of Bloody Sunday on our little black-white TV. Watching kids my age get beat just for a being at a protest march was cathartic.

He made more contributions to this world than the lot of us before becoming a politician. I’m ok with it, for what little that’s worth.

John Lewis had his skull fractured marching across a bridge to fight for his rights. Core Shot repeatedly lamented his employees making too much money and posts about how wearing a mask might not work and hurts his little feelings.

Our country sucks, we’re far from being any kind of great.

Allegedly a highly humble and gracious man in person per my father in law who was fortunate to have met him.

Hopefully his shoulders will be stood upon.

WTF are you on about? If Pelosi or Pence (2 random examples) died you don’t think it would warrant any mention here?

You really don't get that John Lewis was in at the beginning of civil rights which therefore demands a certian respect which is above the whole politcial thing ?

John Lewis is a reminder of the degree of organization, strategy, and planning behind the Civil Rights Movement in the 50's and 60's. Protest and civil rights movements for all causes would do well to follow that example.

The fact that one of the original freedom riders lived amongst us is a testament to the fact that racism still lives with us. Hard to argue that with some of the posters that are allowed to still espouse their racist ass shit here in the here and now.

Some people are talking about renaming the Edmund Pettis bridge for JL. Sounds like a plan.
