Good eye! Sure is. Love it. Wish I could find a reasonably priced sub gauge Uggie.

ZZZ hunt that 37! All my buddies have that exact gun in 16 and love the way they carry and shoot for just about everything.

I have a300 outlander that runs pretty good if you keep it clean, duck gun. My al urika2 is the smoother operator though.

Looks like I'm in the Berreta A300/Franchi Affinity 3/Winchester SX4 range? Any strong recommendations?
Way cool to have an Ithaca in 16g. I love mine in 12g. What a wonderful design and gun.

I own a two Browning Silvers (sisters to the X2 and X3) Browning Maxus, and a Browning New A5. I like all three. It really is all about the fit and the budget.

If Browning would throw in some shims and add the speed load to the Silver it would be my perfect waterfowl gun.

When shooting waterfowl loads, I prefer my gas guns to my one inertia. I am happy to clean them a little more for the slightly more smoothness of recoil.

I probably will for the more gentlemanly pursuits, like upland hunting , but i also want a shotgun that's a bit more of a workhorse that I don't cringe at dings and mud. Plus, n+1 right?

Can any Montana hunting mags tell me if hunting season remains open there?

I’ve been trying for 3 weeks to get a call back about a pack out from a float trip from a couple of outfitters up there but crickets. At the start, I thought they were probably just busy with hunting season but as the non responsiveness continues I am wondering

General seasons are done. Some late season tags are still going. Not a ton but enough to keep outfitters pretty busy. Most I knew stayed pretty busy until end of December and the ones who weren’t were dealing with animal and gear care as well as some time for themselves and wouldn’t answer a phone for nothing. Remember, they have been going non stop since August. Most are enjoying family time now esp. with xmas coming up.

Went to a buddy's ranch on Saturday/Sunday. Shot 50 quail and 5 cocks. Dogs got run ragged and sustained a few minor barbed wire injuries but it was pretty fun.

Made Dave's Red Hot quail legs that evening. Delicious.

    Sorry girl.
Not like some of the monsters posted up here already, but I'm very grateful.

Struck out in my elk season.
I've taken to just shooting doe for the last few years. Let a nice meaty 7 pointer go by this year. A seventeen year old girl on her first hunt with her dad who has permission to hunt our property nabbed it later. Pay it forward bitches.

Best part was my 10 yo girl hearing me tell the buck story later and asking to come along to watch next year.

Here is my 2020 redneck for a day, meat harvest.

    No $900 pack systems
    No hand checkered Circassian walnut
Kiddo not dressed in $1200+ worth of camo
No dramatic shots of you riding horses while wearing full backpacks
No long video cuts of George Strait dropping by unannounced to play & sing at your campfire
    No helicopters at all!
No thanks or even acknowledgement of the fine fine work our friends at the NRA DU and the RMEF have done on foreign soil to make this hunt even possible...

I think speedgoats are escapees from prehistoric game farms. Like future generations will wonder over the Australian camel, and how something that weird-looking could swim all the way from Africa...

    That thing's freakin hudge, dude.

Awesome. Been whacking them up here. Rolled up to a local river launch only to be fogged out. Normally we would roll up and hunt other areas by gps and no lights but this area we need good vis, with the lights you couldn’t see shit in the fog. The current is strong, gauge is 54, we normally hunt it 49-53 with several S curves that have the banks lined with metal and wood for riparian work. We decided to take the safe route and bag it.
