Fuck, another record breaking day for CO cases and over 5% positivity, and more hospitalizations.

Yep. Depressing. Got to close bars, schools IMO. Ski season might be 6 weeks of WROD.

The seasonal rental demand is off the charts right now. Many second homeowners are declaring primary in their mountain condos. TONS of remote workers are renting places for the season. I encounter them on the bike trails all the time "I just moved here from Minneapolis or SanFran or NYC, can you tell me where the good trails are?" "What do you do?" "Oh I'm working remote for my highly paid big city professional job. I just signed a 6mo lease"

Meanwhile the local facebook housing pages are a complete deluge of mid/low wage seasonal workers begging for a place to rent.
This and they have been buying things without seeing them in person. At least in Steamboat.

We have a place in Steamboat and spent at least half the summer up there. We do short term rentals in our place but have blocked the entire winter off for now. I am working remote and my wife picked up a PRN nursing job in town she can pick up shifts whenever no minimum monthly requirement.

We will still be going back to Golden but planning to spend most of the winter in Steamboat. One benefit of Covid my work just got a lot more flexible and I haven’t been on a plane since early March.

Even when we do go back to the office it won’t be often 1 or 2 days a week at the most.

You probably mean, wait for the week after Thanksgiving.

Trump should be gone by then, and the worldwide liberal hoax will be lifted.

This is why ski resorts may be severely restricted or closed by the states. Overflowing hospitals, not the actual risks at the resorts themselves. This trend looks bad and it’s only mid-Oct.

Don't worry about it. I have it on good authority that it's just going to go away...
