"That creates a myriad of problems" should be "that creates myriad problems" but so many people misuse the word the dictionary gatekeepers finally gave in and said it's okay.

My dad likes to be a stickler. If somebody says "You have two choices, A or B" he makes sure to inform them that's actually only one choice. You have two options, A or B, but only one choice to make.

Another one I heard a lot growing up was if I asked him who's winning the Vikings game, he always came back with "The Vikings are ahead." Because we don't know who is "winning" until they have actually won.
