I wonder about the actual story of the man Ötzi. I mean we have some facts: he was was found at altitude in an unnatural resting position along with a fatal arrow wounds, his weapons had the blood remnants of at least 3 other individuals, he was recently well fed, was infested with intestinal parasites, had several tattoos, and was at some time exposed to copper metal working/forging.

I can't help but envision him as a wild crazy uncle Bob, exposed to several trades and opportunities during his life, but never unable to secure stable habitation or employment. He finally got caught screwing and/or feasting on the local landowner's newly domesticated prize goat, which disrespect led to pursuit by a vengeful posse. He acquitted himself well in the final battle but was finally dispatched by the judicial court of the time. Further desecration of his corpse was interrupted by a vicious alpine storm that preserved him for a few millennium, to be resurrected to bring his unique wit and perspective to TGR.
I for one am grateful that the Iceman "Ötzi" is among us.

So, kids wanted a movie, and I watched one of the dumbest ski movies ever.

Ski Patrol (1990)

Turns out Iceman the skier is actually African American. TK Carter played the role. Only a few years after that stupid movie Top Gun.
I’d like to think otzl chose the name based on the ski patrol character.

So this renaming is just 2020 cancel culture.

Other fun fact was my favorite Martian and lost in space actor Ray Walton as the mountain owner.
And George Lopez the stand up comic as a ski patrol explosive specialist.
Plus Martin mull as the villain.
