Greenwood Lake sucks on all accounts, they should change the border and give it to Jeeerz.

Oh and cross-thread with the Browns, who will be in town Sunday amidst a forecast for 2 feet at the stadium. Buckle up buttercup
Detroit is now the plan, so Buttercups have to buckle up and get to Michigan.

Holiday Valley/Ellicottville was getting some over this past weekend. They had started some snow making from reports I heard. Western NY was getting snow yesterday also when I was driving through the typical Lake Effect zone of Chautauqua Co. But I believe further into Cattaraugus Co. it was lower amounts. Still by the end of this weekend 10-15 inches for Eville. They typically are one of the earliest opening resorts in the area. Probably have opened by Thanksgiving weekend more than most of the others- Kissing Bridge, Peek N Peak, and now Cockaigne also in the same area. The Holiday Valley Facebook page shows some snow from yesterday and "Well this should certainly help with getting open on November 25." in their comments.

If the Buffalo predictions are accurate of the storm of the decade at least (maybe not the century), 4 feet of snow...

I worked at the Syracuse airport for 5 years. I can count on one hand how many times the airport closed in that time; and even then, it was for a couple of hours only. Now, if the airport was in Fulton or Oswego...

Yeah, I think in the imaginary scenario where I actually would've gone west in NYS to ski pow Bristol was kind of the limit. HV a little too far and a little too little.

    What bet did you lose?

On the plus side, one of the best Szechuan restaurants I've ever been to isn't far from there (don't try to order in English, though). Would seriously advise eating there if you're in the area--Hometown Memory. Don't expect much from the decor.

That airport is a total and complete shithole. Yet it fits the upstate vibe.
