Orange County as well. It’s hard to imagine that Newburgh isn’t upstate.

House of Guitars is in Upstate. Or WNY?

A few people feel the rain. Most people just get wet.

I just looked it up and nobody lives in Wassaic.

But if they did, it would be an 87-mile almost 2-hour drive to Central Park, . I don't know what it is but it's not the City.

On the other hand I knew a NYC cop who lived in Poughkeepsie and commuted every day and Wassaic's not that far from Poughkeepsie, so who knows.

I do. That's my rule. Commute, downstate.

There are thousands. Now, we can get into commuters from east Pa., But, we won't.

In Benny's defense, I get Binghamton and Bridgehampton mixed up all the time too, they're such similar places.

Geezus, 500+ posts and we are going backward.
Upstate - everything in NY that isn't part of the NYC bubble. I nominated I-84 as the boundary...so ~60 miles from NYC.
Upstate can be broken apart into further sub regions...WNY, Finger Lakes, CNY, 'Daks, Catskills, Mohawk Valley, etc.

    “Fuckload of Nothingness.”

That’s fantastic. That might make a good regional slogan. Welcome to central NY, the proud fuckload of nothingness.”

But if they called it the lederhosen region it might help tourism.

The drndl and big titties and large mugs of beer would help tourism
Dude. There’s large mugs of beer already. At one point Utica had the largest number of bars per capita in the US.

Plus the only ski lift chair inside city limits in the US.

Fun combination that keeps the hospital at the bottom of the ski lift busy.

84 east of the Hudson and Harriman/Bear Mountain Park to the west maybe. That makes more sense to me.

Ok, we have beaten the horse. Now can we discuss regional pizza styles?
Have any of you had a Luna Pie from Syracuse?
