Is there that much demand for brown skiing? Is it a euphemism. Like rusty trombone?

Don’t you fucking DARE accuse m27 of stuff like that. Ever.

He’s a UC swillin ice and mud turn farmer, and a legendary one at that.

    A beer poser he ain’t.

High school girlfried worked at Schaller's on Island Cottage. I ate mountains of those burgers.

Further adventures on the new stretch of the Empire trail today. Started at Holmes and went a bit past Hopewell Junction and back. Again, quiet (even for Saturday) and scenic. But, very cool but morbid encounter with the Green Haven prison, which you travel right next to and through the extensive grounds. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_...ional_Facility John Gotti, Joey Gallo, Nicky Barnes, even Willie Sutton. Not a nice place. But a bit past the prison, an open gate to what I thought was a park. No, it was the cemetery for the indigent prisoners who had nowhere else to be buried. I wasn't supposed to be there, along with a few others, and got chased out, but got a few pics. They put only a number on maybe half the gravestones! A number! Oh, man. Beautiful spot to be buried, though. Now that the train isn't running.

Very cool photos. I guess having a number is one step up from ending up in a Potter's Field.

This is a lot nicer than Potter's field. Hell, it's a hell lot nicer than most cemeteries I've watched family and friends dropped into.

I wonder if the Alabama Hotel is still in business? They had great Beef on Weck.

I ordered the first beer I ever had at a bar/restaraunt at the Alabama Hotel. I was 16 having lunch with my mom. I asked what was on tap and ordered a Labatts. My mom almost choked but did not rat me out. She thought I'd be sick if I drank the full beer. I have found memories of that joint.

I grew up in WNY where the Friday fish fry is a near religious experience. When I moved to the Capital District and saw the little fingerling they called a fish fry I was a bit dissapointed. 30 years innthe Cap Dist and I've only eaten there twice.

But at least the canal is saline enough to swim to the ocean. Or so I’ve heard.
Trust me those are not frozen pieces of fish, at least not in any upstate fish fry I ever went to, and my family owned one.

Yeah, I’d be pretty shocked if Ted’s used frozen fish. It’s too good.

Nothing wrong with frozen fish if it's done right.

Benny’s right. Flash freezing is done on many vessels these days and essentially keep the fish “fresher” than waiting to get to port.

I’m not so sure about perch, though.

Otherwise, most would never eat fish. Or eat very dangerous fish.
