Spotted Lanternfly….invasive insect (from Asia) killing trees here in the NE.



The other real bad invasive insect here in the NE is Emerald Ash Borer…killing all the Ash trees.

This is spot-on. The Hudson north of Nyack is absolutely full of them. I think Rockland Lake State Park and Hook Mountain are going to be devastated. Two towns west from the river, you see a lot less though.

I was gonna go down to the city this week to get some work done but the UN General Assembly has traffic all fukkered up and with the President moving around it's worse than usual. Gonna avoid the tension and head to farm stand zone for a few days to lap around the Fingerlakes and Southern Tier. Gotta make a stop on the Seneca and/or Alleghany reservations too Anyone around Wednesday or Thursday? I'll have a bike with me for after hours shenanigans.
