Bo doubt about that. Old memories of buckets OV splits at at the Brick Bar in Buff and cases of OV splits at Olcott after baseball games.

Rolling Rock Pony Bottles were popular, "33" but now that it is an AB product and they pump out the beer elsewhere than the original Latrobe Brewery, not sure if they are still sold.

A case of Pony Bottles on the bar table, that was more than enough to get 1 person smashed, 2 persons a pretty good buzz and drunk...

Man, that’s kind of rough. Bowling was a staple birthday party venue for both my kids for years. I didn’t realize I was letting them associate with unsavory types.

Oh man, I'm not really sure where that is coming from, but it seems to smell a lot like some sort of class punching down insult, from a dude who sits in bars with the seven ounce watery beer consuming bent shouldered Upstate Trumpers. Very authentic of you.

My father was Polish. If you knew anything of the "respectable" era of bowling, that could end the pissing contest. I was in my first league at 9. I had a bowling ball custom drilled for me when I was 11. And it wasn't that gay sparkly shit, it was Ace, black. Stolen from the trunk of a car in Newark, another story.

What's happened to bowling is a crying shame. First, they put fucking grooves into lanes to increase scores dramatically. The amount of 300 games bowled is Bernie Madoff level fraud, compared to 1965. Then they turned bowling alleys into day glo rick and roll bars, but, you also have tiny children brought by stupid fat moms who consider the place the kids playpen, because, damnit, they paid for it, and you have to somehow bowl next to that. It sucks.

Wasp kids got pushed into golf and tennis, I got stuck with a dying sport. I remember when there were manners and etiquette all around it. You know, respectable. Cool shirts, too.
