Would you look at that, they figured out a way to shoot 100 dollar bills out the back of a boat like a rooster tail.
They were screwing through there so yeah - bills were popping. That boat looked just like the one we saw in the canal earlier in thread but I guess in this day and age it’s like a wharf in those parts. That’s why I asked which way he was headed- where was that post mc27uc?

It's in the distance so I can't say for sure, but the one in your pic looks to be a Sunseeker, and IIRC the one m27 saw was not, and also may have been headed Northbound (eastbound)?

M27: didn't we discuss that Delta 8 shit back around page 250 or so when we were discussing the Upstates convenience store shelf stock? It was right there next to the batteries and ladies products if I'm not mistaken.

    Definitely bath salts.

    I have nailed it down.

This Semi permanent Blue Tarp was spotted on Lake Kanawauke.

So I’m proposing a line from CT along the southern border of Brewster, then a straight line west to route 6 in Yorktown Heights, following through Peekskill, up the goat path to Bear Mountain Bridge, across to Seven Lakes drive, all the way along Seven Lakes to its end in Sloatsburg, south on 17 to Sterling Mine Road and then southwest to the NJ border.

    Bold post there, Cotton.

First things first: is that a load-bearing blue tarp?

Can’t say for sure but it looked like it was well secured- might hold a few hundred pounds of snow if it had to.

Nice data. But honestly. If you hate downstate, give a Bronx cheer.

PS. Upstate has its own website? What’s their definition?

The alternatives are the Mets and the Sox. Mets fans hate the Yankees but it’s not really mutual. The Mets are sort of an amusing curiosity to Yankees fans. Boston is out of the question. I’d rather root for Baltimore. The quality of Upstate.com is very uneven, much like upstate itself. I would not rely on thier expertise but the poll was done by Sienna.

No one really loves the Mets.
They’re the NY Islanders of baseball.

Are you a cop? You look like a cop. You're not a narc are ya?

Bold boundaries. I know what's been said about rt6. However, still having a hard time with Yorktown. And Sloatsburg. Sterling Mine road definitely feels like upstate. It's been at least 11 years since I was out that way, I think I recall some blue tarps at the corner of Sterling Mine and Long Meadow. But it was gentrifying fast iirc.

    Danno likes the Mets.

I don't think he catches too much shit for it either.

Kinda like how EWG and I like the Browns.

It's pity you feel more often than not.

    Just. No.

Isles have the dynasty, which puts them in rarified territory in pro sports history.

Regardless of the painful, painful drought since then.

My limited data set on baseball fans in the upstates:
CNY: it's about 1/3 Yankees, 1/3 Mets, 1/3 Red Sox (which I found odd....)
Capital District: 80% Yankees, 15% Mets, 5% Red Sox

    FWIW...

I think CNY is actually much more Yankee centric than that.

packin’ ‘em in like sardines today… should’ve been one more as you can see in the background. but, apparently, that little fucker down there in front got in a fight with that big fucker up there in the background somewhere between the lock before and the last lock they just went through. so, that little fucker floored it and went scooting around to the head of the line going into the last lock chamber… and then just wouldn’t move up far enough to let that big fucker into the lock. big ‘ol shouting and screaming match quickly ensued with lively insults bandied about by all hands. aspersions were cast upon opponents nautical prowess and seamanship capabilities.

management is getting involved and there is much commotion and confusion going on.

he was the other party to the chaos. blocking him out was cuddy dude's revenge. they were separated by management before the shitstorm got to me. i got the play by play over the phone... in person, i got mostly icy silence with some under the breath mutterings of whatnot and bullshit. and then, i left. at 5 - on. the.dot.

from there on, it was someone else's problem.

Now I get it. I’m slow on the uptake some times, guess I read the original post too fast. I’d have gotten out of there as soon as possible too. Just out of curiosity, how many guys does it take to operate a lock?
